Griffin is an extremely talented viola player who is graduating from high school this year to take on the classical music world. We met recently to document both Griffin’s senior pics and professional head shots. It was incredible watching him play at the waterside, very surreal! I grabbed a quick photo of Lori, Griffin’s mom! Aw  🙂 Thanks so much Griffin for choosing me to document this monumental time, and for playing the viola for us! I also want to thank Yasmin Khajavi for helping me. Enjoy the sneak peak!

Michelle and Alex have been married for over two years and inquired about an “engagement shoot for married couples” last fall. I love the idea of getting great photos taken of you and your honey long after you’ve said your I Do’s. It’s a great time to get
photos of you and your spouse for your living room, your family or even your facebook page! It was so great bonding with Alex and Michelle over our hometown of Ann Arbor Michigan! Go Blue! Alex and Michelle practice Kung Fu and ended the session with some beautiful forms. Michelle also manages Oblation, the amazing invite shop and paper boutique in the Pearl, which I highly recommend for save the dates or wedding invites! I also want to thank Chris Jernigan for assisting me! Hope you love the sneak peek Alex and Michelle!

About a month after Sarah and Luke’s incredible and intimate wedding in the pristine Washington mountains, they planned a reception in the great city of St. Louis, their hometown. All their family and friends greeted them Seattle Style! The reception at the Deer Creek Club was a blast with creative and fun references everywhere! Starbucks Coffee bags and The Seattle Times doubled as vases for the fresh flowers brought from Pike Place Market, rainboots acted as a holder for their guest sign-in pens, and hat umbrellas as party favors! Sarah and Luke are such cool people and their families are a ton of fun!  Erica and I had the honor of traveling to photograph their stellar party and we also got a chance to hang out in this cool city with my friends, Kelda and Michael, whose wedding I photographed back in 2007!  Love it:)

When Ecotrust contacted me about photographing an event at their new
space, I was thrilled! knowing how awesome their roof-top terrace is, I
knew that the Center for Architecture would be a unique venue for
networking meetings, events and weddings. Travel Portland held their
monthly meeting here and hosted an array of amazing vendors, including
the yummy Cupcake Jones, the delicious Food in Bloom Catering and Owen Vineyards, a local and distinct winery with delectable wine… Try
the Yakima Valley Red… it’s my fave! Thanks so much to all who made
this event a success! If you’re looking for a unique and open space to
host a small wedding reception, check out the Ecotrust’s website get
more info about the Center For Architecture.. The windows open to reveal
a nice walk-out to the heart of the Pearl District!

Rachelle and Aaron and I met up in February for their super fun engagement shoot around the Pearl district and downtown Portland. A few locations included the Eco-Trust wall, the Portland sign, the Park Blocks and Union Station. We found it particularly convenient that it happen to be Lincoln’s Birthday and we were shooting near his well-known sculpture downtown! Someone had placed daffodils in his hand, which made us smile:) We had a lot of fun chatting about the wedding and I feel blessed to have been chosen as their wedding photographer! Rachelle and Aaron are a perfect match and are clearly soul mates:) Their wedding will be May 3rd at the beautiful Bell Tower Chapel with the reception at View Point Inn, one of my absolute favorite venues! I’m so looking forward to photographing Rachelle and Aaron’s unique wedding!

blog019.jpgJill and Matt celebrated their wedding last weekend in style! We
started out at the lovely
Hotel Deluxe for the getting ready and first
glance photos. Jill looked magnificent wearing
Casablanca and my
personal fave
Armani Diamonds. I think the perfume you wear on your
wedding is such a unique detail that’s often overlooked… I have been
making the perfume shot a new signature:) The always-amazing
Nicole Wagner did her hair and make-up. They were married in NE
Portland at the beautiful
Faithful Savior Ministries, with the reception
immediately following at the contemporary and classic
Acadian Ballroom in
the Alberta Arts District. They drove off from the I
Do’s in a vintage
Bentley, and I caught a kiss at a stop light on the way to the party…
which is one of my new faves! The cake was yummy and was made by
Lamb’s Bakery, and the stunning flowers were done by Fleur Bliss. I was
also happy to work with the cool people at
Aniko productions,
who
recorded the video. Thank you Jill and Matt and family. Your wedding
was so elegant and fun, and I’m honored to have shared it with you.
Hope you enjoy
the sneak peak while sipping on yummy beverages in Maui!

Luke and Sarah’s wedding was snowy, surreal and beautiful! The wedding took place at The Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum Washington on a crisp and bright Saturday. Sarah and Luke decided to keep it small inviting 11 immediate family members, which made the event all the more cozy and special. Sarah looked amazing in her Carolina Herrera gown and Coach galoshes, which were perfect for the outdoor ceremony in the snow! Luke was charming in his Brooks Brothers suit and Hermes tie. Lily sparkled though out the day with her endless smiles and goofy grins:) The wedding ceremony quoted Robert Frost and they were announced to Johnny Cash…Very unique! If you’re looking for a venue that truly celebrates nature, I can’t recommend this location enough! The setting was almost as breathtaking as the couple and their families. Thank you so much Sarah and Luke for inviting Erica and I to be a part of your incredible day!
