Sarah and Will
A Wilsonville Barn Wedding

Will and Sarah’s barn wedding was intimate, fun and beyond memorable. It’s always an honor to receive an inquiry from a fellow photographer, and Will’s work is beautiful. Will and Sarah’s love story has brought them around the globe together to live in California and wed in Oregon, where Sarah is originally from. The family and friends of the couple came together at the Stein Boozier barn in Wilsonville, Oregon and celebrated, toasted and danced the night away. Rachel Coddington’s fresh and fun coordination and florals filled the barn with color along with the incredibly seasonal food from Verde Cocina, and DJ’s from Noteworthy DJ’s the night was one to remember. With a choreographed dance from Will to Sarah, as he’s always hated to dance, and she loves to, so he snuck out to rehearsal for months before the big day and killed it! What a sweet and memorable wedding and I’m happy to have documented all the love! Thanks Sarah and Will!

Kellen and Ty
A Downtown Portland Engagement

Kellen and Ty are the kind of people you meet and you feel like you’ve known forever. Their kindness, style and heart are apparent right away and their love is truly fun and great to be around! We met up at their condo in NW near Forest Park to start and I fell in serious love with their open courtyard. We headed into Forest Park for a quick jaunt in the woods and then to the NE Industrial waterfront, which I rarely shoot at, so it was pretty cool and I found this great building that we all admired. We finished up the shoot at the SE docks at sunset. So happy to be documenting Kellen and Ty’s wedding this December at the gorgeous Sunriver Resort and work with Events by Mint! Beyond excited!

A Portland Golf and Country Club Wedding

Is there anything prettier than a spring wedding? I love classic country club weddings for that elegant town and country vibe that can only be achieved at the best venues. Columbia Edgewater Country Club is gem of a location tucked away in the industrial Columbia River area, this country club is surrounded by English gardens, sweeping views and great patios. Julie and Dylan actually wed in Hawaii in a personal and intimate elopement and later celebrated with their extended family and friends here in Portland, complete with another ceremony to include Dylan’s darling daughter, Charlie. Julie’s stunning dress was designed by Lian Carlo, with elegant hair and makeup by Kirstie Wight Makeup and the timeless bouquets from Jordan at Blum Design in Flowers. The party was fun with all ages on the dance floor and mad beats from DJ Royal. Thanks so much Julie and Dylan for choosing me to document your gorgeous Portland wedding celebration!

Brett and Laurie recently welcomed the beautiful baby Hailey into this world and I’m so honored to have photographed their family. Not only did I get to document their new baby girl, I also had the privilege of photographing their fun wedding at Black Butte Ranch back in 2015! I love being able to document in people’s homes and I love the intimate details that make us this beautiful life, like dad’s thumb being held by his daughter’s tiny hand or the softness of mom’s shhhhing her baby girl to sleep. These are the moments and this is why I love what I do!!! Thank you Laurie and Brett for inviting me into your home!

Hanna and Jacob emanate goodness. They laugh a lot together, ask a lot of questions and truly make this world a better place. For real, he is a brain surgeon and she is a researcher for childhood developmental disorders. Needless to say after getting to know them better during their oh so fun urban engagement shoot I was beyond honored to photograph their classic and elegant wedding day. With a ceremony and reception at the award-winning Blue Hour restaurant the vibe was timeless class with a modern touch and I loved every detail! Spot-on coordination from Molli and her team at Soiree Wedding Planning, stunning blooms and beautiful Chuppah from Zest Flowers and a classic cake from Dream Cakes. This wedding was so pretty to photograph and filled with so much joy! Thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your amazing wedding Hanna and Jacob!

A Day in the Life at Home

Michelle, Alex, Leo and Ray are the cutest and kindest. I met Michelle a loooonnnnngggg time ago when she was at Oblation and of course… wedding industry so we met at a bridal show! After finding out that our home roots are also in Michigan and specifically, Ann Arbor we became friends and I actually photographed Michelle and Alex’s two year wedding anniversary photos long before the kiddos came along! Michelle now co-owns a great book binding company called Hitched Strung Stitched in town. After not seeing her in many moons, we ended up in a magical pre-natal yoga class together at Yoga Pearl! I was so happy and honored to be invited to their new home to photograph their sweet family. Leo is a cutie and such a good big brother to baby Ray! Alex and Michelle are great parents and even grandma and grandpa were able to jump in for a few photos! I love photographing families at home, in the familiar, the cozy and comfortable and gettin real moments rather than staged all too perfect traditional family portraits. The messy hair, the barefeet and the wildness of the days that make up the years that make up this beautiful life. Thank you Johnson family and much love!

A Modern Home Engagement

Sara and Ronnie are truly living the dream life in love and location!!! This kind and stylish couple invited me to photograph their engagements at their modern home on the Willamette and I was pretty much in house heaven! With a breezeway over the tracks and a dock on the water, they have my dream home for sure! (And those chairs, their windows, their amazing dog… I can’t stop!) So elated to photograph their wedding this month at the historic Benson hotel! Cheers!

A Cannon Beach Engagement

Taylor and David live and love the Aloha spirit in the way they peacefully interact with each other and all around them. This couple is kind, endearing and oh so beautiful! Since they live in Hawaii but are planning a Portland wedding, we planned their fun engagement shoot for the beaches of the Pacific Ocean! This spring we met up at the awe-inspiring Ecola State Park and the iconic Cannon Beach! Taylor and I met back in 2007 when we worked together at the Heathman Restaurant, now called Headwaters. When she was wedding planning she found my name and reached out!!! SO fun reuniting with this lovely woman and her true love! Couldn’t be more excited for their wedding at the Lan Su Chinese Garden!
