Eeeekkkkk! Jenn and Vic’s stunning wedding was just featured on my favorite luxury wedding blog! Grace Ormonde is a high-end wedding publisher that puts out a perfectly-edited magazine and website with the top celebrity, destination and exclusive weddings. I have always loved oooohhhing and awwwwing over the decadent decor, dresses, cakes and couples that Grace Ormonde features.Well this is how I felt while photographing Jenn and Vic’s beyond gorgeous wedding with a Monique Lhuillier dress, florals by the incredible Jordan at Blum Floral Design and towering cake by Johanna at Dream Cakes. A NE Portland Valentine Shoot

When Ally and Marcus first reached out I was instantly excited about their Valentine session. Ally and Marcus live in both LA and Vancouver BC and have two cutie pups Rocco and Nala. Marcus Grodd just so happened to be one of the hunky finalists on the reality tv show Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise so I was fan-girling a little for sure. (One guilty pleasure of mine is watching the Bachelorette with my friends on Monday nights! #bachelornation) Thank goodness they met after Marcus’s TV romances didn’t work out because they are truly great together! Ally is full of positive energy and excitement and Marcus is thoughtful and caring. You can tell that they are best friends in all they do! While I was in Vancouver BC recently Ally and Marcus dropped off a vintage photography book and amazing teas as a thank you for the photos. They collect vintage books and gifted me a copy of The Concerned Photographer! Thank you guys! Together with Hotel Eastlund we all created some killer photos of the gorgeous couple for their social media accounts for the year and had a blast doing it. Top 16 of 2016!

2016 was filled with so many remarkable memories. Personally, my husband and I welcomed an amazing blue-eyed baby boy in early summer and bought a house in late autumn! Needless to say, I’ve had my hands full with momma-hood that I’ve barely blogged any of the amazing weddings and engagements that I photographed in that historic year! So, in keeping with tradition; here’s a little sampling of my top 16 of 2016 (Ok- top 17 because it was a leap year!) I have a crush on all these images and I hope you do too. Elizabeth and Tim Real Wedding Featured in Portland Bride and Groom Magazine

I am so honored to have Elizabeth’s and Tim’s gorgeous spring wedding featured in the most recent issue of Portland Bride and Groom Magazine. Their Irish themed wedding at The Old Church and the Left Bank Annex in Portland was draw dropping and one that I will never forget. From the personalized tattoo station to the Irish dancers, their wedding was off the charts incredible! Elizabeth is a top coordinator at Bridal Bliss, so undoubtedly her wedding was total perfection! I cannot possibly imagine a better way to celebrate their one year anniversary than by this three page feature. Happy Anniversary you two!

A Portland Art Museum Wedding

Jen and Vic evoke grace and style and they light up every room they walk into. I was honored to capture this beautiful couple this summer at their dream wedding taking place in Portland. The traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony took place at a private home, with the nuptials at the gorgeous St. Mary’s Cathedral and the reception at the ever-timeless Portland Art Museum. The style was on point with Jen’s stunning Monique Lhuillier dress and Vic’s elegant Tom Ford tux. We captured the wedding party at Fields park in NW Portland and around the grounds at the museum with an emphasis on romance and modernity. The immaculate reception space was dripping with orchids and roses created by Jordan at Blum Design in Flowers and the delicious food was catered by the A plus team at Art of Catering. The cake… honestly a work of art made by creative forces at Dream Cakes and it truly was a cake of dreams at 5 tiers! I loved documenting the mix of colors and traditions and the endless array of stunning details. The couple treated the guests to the incredible beats of the one and only DJ Turbulence and it was a non-stop dance party and a night to remember. Congratulations Jen and Vic!

A Pacific Northwest Engagement

I’ve been playing catch up with the blog as of late and this is one of the shoots I’ve been dying to get up. Sarah and Jason and I all met at Callie and Andy’s glorious wedding back in 2012. All at once, charming, striking and thoughtful, Sarah and Jason are a couple you remember. So naturally I was honored to hear from them as they are planning their 2017 wedding in Oregon’s wine country. We had fun galavanting around NW, including Forest Park and NW 23rd with a coffee stop at Barista. We all skipped through the forest with moss at our heels. (literally!) We met up early to get some nice light and I love the magic we made. Hope you do too. Can’t wait for Sarah and Jason’s wedding next July. xo

An Old Church and Left Bank Portland Wedding

Imagine dancing to incredible live music beneath dazzling ivy while sipping a delicious glass of wine and nibbling fresh farm to table food. This was just a little of the magic of Elizabeth and Tim’s gorgeous wedding. Held in March over the St. Patrick’s day weekend as a nod to their shared Irish heritage, Elizabeth and Tim’s wedding was formal, yet laid back, fun and filled with personal details for each guest that only the top wedding planners at Bridal Bliss in Portland could dream up, including a wandering oyster bar and individual cakes by Dream Cakes for each guest! The heartfelt ceremony was held at Portland’s Old Church with the reception at the Left Bank Annex. Elizabeth looked stunning in her Pronovias dress from Anna’s Bridal with hair and makeup from Face Body Beauty and Tim looked dapper in his tux from the Black Tux. The stunning florals were created with love by the talented team at Zest and the delicious food was catered by Devil’s Food Catering. During dinner, a surprise team of Irish dancers took the stage and gave everyone a show during dinner. The party lasted all night with the high-energy band, Precious Byrd. So many good memories were made and I was beyond honored to document Elizabeth and Tim’s epic wedding weekend!
