A Gorge Crest Vineyard Wedding

Wildflowers, deep green forests, sprawling vineyards, and views of Mount Hood? Yes please! Sheila and Michael’s wedding at Gorge Crest Vineyard really had it all, but these two only had eyes for each other. Sheila was absolutely stunning in her vintage-inspired gown and her bouquet by Blum Floral, which perfectly complimented the couple’s elegant style. Thanks to coordination from the amazing Katy with Bridal Bliss, the day ran smoothly, from Sheila and Michael’s first look to their first steps as husband and wife. Guests enjoyed vibrant and delicious food from White Pepper and lawn games (gotta love giant Jenga!) Loved the personal details, including photos of the couple at each age corresponding to the table number. After the ceremony, the couple stole away for a little dance among the rows of vines and shared a quiet moment together to take it all in. Absolutely adored this relaxed yet elegant wedding in the mountains! Happy one year to this kind and wonderful couple!

Anna & Travis
A Timberline Lodge Engagement

I was so pleased to meet smart and stylish couple, Anna and Travis, for their Timberline Lodge engagement shoot. The historic Timberline Lodge completed construction in 1937 and I loved Anna and Travis’ homage to that era by wearing vintage Pendleton! Tagging along for the adventure was their adorable Bluetick Coonhound pup, Leroy. (I esp. love Blueticks because I had one named Ida!) We were lucky we were able to catch a glimpse of Mt. Hood’s peak through the thick clouds that brought lots of snow and wind in its company. Anna & Travis braved the wind and Leroy too! After having some fun in the snow, we traveled back down the mountain to capture less windy photos amidst the snowy trees. The warm glow of light inside the lodge made for a wildly romantic winter scene. Thank you for allowing me the pleasure of capturing such a sweet time for you two and I’m so looking forward to their Mt. View Orchard wedding this month!

Allison and Aaron
A Timberline Mt. Hood Engagement

I couldn’t stop smiling with Allison and Aaron as we tromped around Mt. Hood in the knee deep snow for their engagement session. They are college sweethearts and have that kind of familiarity that is truly a joy to be around! They were troopers during the shoot as we had an icey rain pour on us and we were all freezing and wet. You can see how soaked we got in the last few pics!

I’ve known Allison and Aaron for over 5 years now and I had the absolute pleasure of having Allison as my intern from 2011-2012 while she was attending college at the Art Institute of Portland. She’s a super talented photographer and graphic designer and now works full time at Columbia Sportswear in the design department. SO proud of her and her accomplishments! When they contacted me about their wine country wedding for this August, I couldn’t have been more happy to hear that she and Aaron are getting married- as they truly are the perfect couple. VERY excited for their upcoming wedding at Vista Hills Vineyard. Love you guys!
