A Cape Kiwanda Engagement

I was so thrilled when Olivia reached out to me for their Oregon Coast engagement photos because I had the honor of meeting her while photographing her sister, Molly’s, wedding back in 2015 and we instantly hit it off! For their engagements, we met in Pacific City at the gorgeous Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa. What started out as a beautiful day turned into a legendary colorful sunset on the coast. I’m still obsessed with this session and will be until the end of time! I was so inspired by these two and the gorgeous day at Cape Kiwanda’s most iconic locations. These two, like many of us in 2020, had to roll with the punches and adjust their wedding plans due to Covid and I am so looking forward to their rescheduled outdoor wedding this June at Bingham Estates. A Leftbank Annex Wedding

This wedding between Kelsey and Geoff was absolutely stunning and every little detail thought out to make the day perfection. The bride and groom prepared for their big day in stunning rooms at Portland’s luxury hotel The Nines. During their first look, Kelsey and Geoff took a moment together to laugh and cry together in such a touching moment. After photos along at the Nines and the Portland waterfront, the ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Cathedral in NW. With gorgeous florals from Geranium Lake, the Leftbank Annex was turned into an elegant yet industrial venue perfect for dinner, toasts and dancing. The remainder of the night was an opulent blur of amazing dancing, laugher, and joy! The couple made their exit under a dazzling tunnel of sparklers. Happy anniversary Kelsey and Geoff and we wish you many many more!

A NW Portland Engagement

Tater tots, billiards and beer? Yes please! Hannah and Jason are a fun-loving, creative and musical couple who met in NW Portland at Blue Moon over their love of tots, pool and craft beer. This incredible couple both share the love of music in their professions, Hannah a professional violinist and Jason, a long-time music blogger at chorus.fm. I love infusing a couple’s love story into their engagement photos; so we met at their original meeting location and shared tots and then explored the SE Portland waterfront for some moody sunset photos with the Portland skyline backdrop. I loved Hannah’s flowy gown, of which she has many considering her profession, which I think is a definite perk to her job! We had a total blast and I’m so looking forward to their wedding this month at the historic Sentinel hotel.

Jennylyn & Daniel
A Chinese Garden and Waterfront Engagement

I met sweet and playful couple, Jennylyn and Daniel, at the magical Lan Su Chinese Gardens in Portland’s Chinatown. The gardens don’t allow professional photography within its walls but the outside made for quite the impressive scene! The simplicity of the wall’s architecture detailed with lively green plants really let the couple’s fun personalities shine.

Jennylyn and Daniel brought some hip jackets to switch up their looks and I’m confident we snapped some cool shots for their mixtape that may or may not drop! As the sun set lower into the sky we captured lots of laughs and playful poses at the SE waterfront. This stylish couple from California is planning an intimate destination Portland wedding this month! Thank you for choosing me to convey the special love you share together.

Lei Lei and Michael
A SE Portland Engagement

It was quite the adventure photographing sweet couple Lei Lei and Michael in SE Portland for their engagement. In true Pacific NW fashion, the weather took a slight turn and rained on our parade. Luckily we took cover beneath the bridge we moments before had been spending time on top of. Once the wet weather subsided, we headed down to the dock to capture some dusk photos. Lei Lei’s hair looked so beautiful in the wind as she and Michael laughed and played at the waterfront. They will be getting married this weekend! It was so lovely spending the afternoon with these two – even though we had a slight intermission!

Kellen and Ty
A Downtown Portland Engagement

Kellen and Ty are the kind of people you meet and you feel like you’ve known forever. Their kindness, style and heart are apparent right away and their love is truly fun and great to be around! We met up at their condo in NW near Forest Park to start and I fell in serious love with their open courtyard. We headed into Forest Park for a quick jaunt in the woods and then to the NE Industrial waterfront, which I rarely shoot at, so it was pretty cool and I found this great building that we all admired. We finished up the shoot at the SE docks at sunset. So happy to be documenting Kellen and Ty’s wedding this December at the gorgeous Sunriver Resort and work with Events by Mint! Beyond excited!

Lucy and Paul
A SE Portland Engagement

For Lucy and Paul’s engagement, we decided to do a beautiful mix of Portland nature and urban scenery. I met up with them at Mt. Tabor park to capture their sweet love among the tall trees and greenery. We then headed across Portland’s newest pedestrian-only bridge, Tillikum Crossing. We ended capturing the couple on the Southeast waterfront at sunset. These two kind hearted and laid back people met and live in lucky Las Vegas and Lucy grew up in Portland which brought them to plan their wedding here! I can’t wait for their wedding this weekend at the stunning Youngberg Hill Winery!

Landon contacted me recently for a surprise engagement shoot for Melissa as a Valentine’s Day gift. He told me the concept of both natural and urban settings in classic Portland locations, like the waterfront, the White Stag building and Mt. Tabor and I was IN! Melissa was surprised and delighted and I had a ton of fun with this stylish couple all over Portland. With Landon being a musician and Melissa being an artist, I was in my element while we created some artistic and non-traditional images to match their creative love.
