I recently had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful and fun wedding, as well as another photographer's sermon.. The Reverend Craig Mitchelldyer. When Craig asked if I would shoot his little sister's wedding, I jumped at the chance! I'm a huge fan of Craig's photo work, and epic lighting skill and I loved meeting his family as well! His darling daughter Jordyn was the flower girl and Grandpa walked Ali down the aisle! Ali and Johnny are a super sweet couple and hosted a beautiful wedding at a stunning location! The ceremony and reception took place on the top deck of The Spirit of PortlandNicole Wagner did an awesome job on Ali's make-up as well! Thanks so much for the opportunity Craig and Ali and Johnny! It was a lot of fun :)

Craig Mitchelldyer:

Pretty much the coolest sermon you've ever seen right? Thanks again for doing that! it was fun for me to be the preacher man and not the photographer!

Brian Latta:

Wow, Jessica, I'm consistently impressed with your work. It's just all good. This looks like it was a very fun wedding and the location on the river must have been breathtaking considering the weather... cheers again. Thanks for doing such great work...

Deyla Huss:

LOL I just realized Craig was the Preacher!!! Love it!!

Ali:

Jessica, I didn't even know we were on here! I know it's really late (sorry), but thank you so much for doing the photography for us! It was great being able to have Craig marry us instead of him taking the pictures (although we got him to take some of us during the reception). Thanks again! You're great!

Brandy and Dave are an incredible and artistic couple that I had the extreme honor of photographing recently. They tied the knot with their immedate families in attendance, on May 16th at Tanner Springs Park with a cocktail reception at the up-scale urban Bay 13 Restaurant, both in the Pearl District. Their wedding was elegantly hip, intimate and locally focused. The sugar-skull inspired cake was crafted by Bakery Bar. (It was really yummy:) The flowers were brilliant and included plenty of succulents and and created by the talented crew at Old Town Florist. Brandy's lovely ring set was crafted by the amazing and local Judith Arnell. Brandy's awesome style by Salon 77. Thank you so much Brandy and Dave for choosing me to photograph your unique and relaxed wedding! I had SO much fun with you both:) Stay tuned for the slideshow and check out Dave's cool photo blog here! If you have a moment, your comments are much appreciated!

Thank you Rachelle and Aaron for choosing me to document your breathtaking wedding day! Not only was this couple amazing, so was the perfect weather matched with a breathtaking view! The wedding ceremony was held at darling The Bell Tower Chapel and the reception was held at The Viewpoint Inn a historic boutique hotel on Larch Mountain overlooking the Gorge. Their wedding colors were green and brown with hints of ivory and black which created a classic vintage, earthy feel. The yummy and beautiful cake was made by Melissa at Sweet Cakes. Rachelle looked gorgeous in her Casablanca gown, and Aaron looked sharp in a brown suit.  All the guests marveled at the beautiful sky and the elegant surroundings while having a very memorable afternoon of celebration! The couple drove away in Aaron's awesome yellow GTE, which made for quite the send off :)  Congratulations Rachelle and Aaron and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness! Enjoy the sneak peek!

Your comments are welcome and appreciated!

Allie and Josh's wedding was a beautiful and forever memorable celebration of love. There wedding took place at the beautiful Zenith Vineyards on Saturday April 18th. Allie looked stunning in her Melissa Sweet gown and Twigs and Honey hair piece and Josh was looking sharp in his classic tux. The amazingly talented and fun Jennifer Rand with Face Body Beauty did Allie's romantic makeup and I highly recommend her for brides! Sue Hamilton with She Designs coordinated the event and went above and beyond, even picking white branches from the field to add to the alter to make Allie's dream wedding come true! The colors were blue with hints of silver and light pink, very romantic and vintage! The flowers were created by the talented folks at Geranium Lake. The unique and touching ceremony took place on the veranda and their family and friends were both laughing and crying! The beautiful scene made for a ceremony to remember!  My talented assistant Erica was with me and we had a blast with creative candids and portraits of the couple and the wedding party. The reception was super fun with the dance floor filled, a cool photo booth and great food from Vibrant Table! The yummy and pretty cupcakes were made by the talented Cupcake Mama! Thank you so very much Allie and Josh for choosing me to photograph your gorgeous wedding! Enjoy and congrats to you both! Check out Allie's creative wedding blog here for inspiring ideas and crafts!

Allie:

Oh, Jessica! I'm SO excited to see these — and Josh is too! These just make me even more anxious to see the rest of them. The detail shots are perfection (many of them of things I didn't even get to see at my own wedding!) and you truly captured the day the way it felt and the way it lives on in my memory. Thank you for your amazing work!

(05.11.09)
Momiest:

So beautiful, Jessica. I can see the whole wedding again in these photos, just as I remember it, plus all the things I missed because I had tears in my eyes. Really love how you captured the mood and the romance. Thank you, they're incredible.

Carol McMillan:

Wow! What amazing photography. It was a beautiful wedding and you captured it wonderfully!

sharon rice:

Allie looks stunning and Josh looks handsome. But what I'm also excited about are pictures of the beautiful details of this wedding I neglected to photograph. Allie put her whole artistic being into this wedding and it appears you captured each lovely detail for posterity. To me, that's the sign of someone who really knows wedding photography. Well done!

Deyla Huss:

Absolutely Stunning!! I love these, all of them!!!

Heidi and Mike are an incredible couple, and boy did they have an incredible wedding at the historic Embassy Suites in downtown Portland to match! Heidi looked stunning in her Elizabeth Fillmore wedding gown from the lovely ladies at Divine Designs, who I highly recommend. Mike looked dashing in a classic tux and the silver cuff links always add an elegant detail:) The fantastic Mike Piper of An Affair to Remember coordinated the event and also created the fabulous flowers, centerpieces, invites and Chuppah. Amazing Job! Hybrid Moon created video of the vows and party, and Eric Newland and his crew do awesome work. We were able to get some fun pics downtown, and as you can tell, I wasn't the only one taking pictures! The evening was great fun with DJ Eric at All Wright Music and the Ramsey Y Los Montunos Band boogieing down all night! Heidi and Mike rocked the Hora, while friends and family cheered! The yummy cake from Dream Cakes was a crowd pleaser! I'm so honored that Heidi and Mike chose me to document their first steps together as husband and wife. Thanks! Hope you all enjoy the sneak peek:)
