A surreal sky during the Perseid meteor shower. The wedding of the century.
Mei Mei and Lou invited their closest family and friends to The beautifully organic Ohana Living Farm to celebrate their love under the stars.
A traditional Hawaiian welcome blessing starts the evening’s luau dinner.
The feast included yummy organic taro and pork, cooked Kalua style in an imu.
Dancing and lve music from the O’s a gem of a band.
sipping mai tais.
The guests received canvas sacks with all of the essential farm living supplies. Complete with camp showers, sunglasses, headlamps and maps, they were really thoughtful.
the delicious wedding fish, fresh Marlin.
m + l = heart.
rehearsal dinner toasts and fun.
the wedding day. the lovely land, the farm truck, the beauty.
ziplining beneath the canopy. oh-so fun!
group orchard planting of mango, avocado, starfruit, and more. <br.
simple, clean and nature-inspired.
the first glance, mei mei and lou looking beautiful and in love.
The breath-taking ceremony at the spring at night fall.
Dinner in the hoop house.
the food was all locally grown and organic goodness.
Lou’s mom played banjo and the guests danced until dawn.
A farewell brunch and hike.
All were sleepy after the weekend’s fun. love this pic.
waterfall hike and yes, this was incredible to document.
Mei Mei and Lou’s magical and beautiful wedding beneath the stars was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. M+L are so fun, relaxed and in love and they truly infect people with their radiant love and energy. Hawaii is a sacred land that m+l truly respected during their wedding planning. Guests were invited to sleep in outfitted tents and live with little electricity and have an adventure of a weekend, during one of the largest meteor showers this century. Travis and I loved living off of the land and photographing m+l’s surreal wedding with 100% photojournalism. I loved documenting this wedding, this couple and this entire experience. thank you so much for everything and hope you love the preview pics.

You have captured the energy, beauty, spirit and love present at the wedding celebration! Even if someone missed the event, the photos translate beautifully. How do I get some photos for my very own?

SO AMAZING! I really wish my family and friends were a little more open to rugged living! I”m getting married in less than 30 days in Maui – it’s going to be lovely and luxurious – I know! But M+L’s wedding is so up my alley! Theirs has to take the cake! What a great way to celebrate in Hawaii, and what a great week to do it!
