Overlooking the Columbia River Gorge on a little island named Government Cove, Hannah and Sam danced among the lupine and golden grasses for their sunset engagement photoshoot. This location is fast becoming one of my go-to spots near Hood River because of it’s picturesque and diverse views. One of my favorite moments came when Sam slipped his hand into Hannah’s back pocket, a sweet and loving gesture that was completely unprompted. It’s the little moments like this that make my heart sing! We photographed their engagements a year ago and now their wedding day is just a few days away. Hannah and Sam are such a sweet and loving couple and their wedding is one I’ve been anticipating for a long time!

Trish and Josh
A Vancouver Engagement
Trish and Josh are the sweetest couple and so well matched. Our sunset engagement session along the Vancouver waterfront was the perfect start to the wedding countdown. We revisited where Trish and Josh met each other in this exact spot for their very first date. A few hours turned into a whole day of talking, biking, and sipping margaritas at Who Song and Larry’s with a riverfront view, which then carried into the week, the month and the years! This golden hour engagement made my heart soar and I just know that their wedding this weekend will be beyond amazing.
Sara and Ben
Olympic National Park Engagement
Sara and Ben’s engagement was a true Pacific Northwest adventure! This two day adventure started with a sunset hike on Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park for sweeping views of the mountains and dazzling golden light and woke up bright and early for a dawn session for a morning SUP board paddle on Lake Crescent while the sun rose. These two have a deep love of their home in Washington and all the outdoor activities it provides. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day with more beautiful people! Congratulations on your engagement, Sara and Ben!
Emily & Jon A BlockHouse Wedding
Emily and Jon hosted their dreamy wedding at Portland’s Blockhouse for an intimate garden wedding. Stepping into the venue felt like venturing from Portland’s urban landscape into a tropical jungle thanks to the boutique Pomarius nursery attached to the venue! The couple invited their closest family and friends to join them, creating a truly special day surrounded by gorgeous greenery. This was a special one as it was my first of many “Covid” weddings of 2020 with a limited guest list, outdoor ceremony and reception and lots of organic social distance and it felt safe and all had a blast! Emily looked gorgeous in her makeup by Powder Inc. The night ended with dancing, great food catered by Art of Catering, and a tunnel of sparklers, of course! Congratulations, Emily and Jon, who just welcomed their baby boy this year!
Theresa & Sung
Hug Point Engagement
Theresa and Sung dazzled at their Hug Point engagement and bridal session! Theresa was absolutely stunning in her bright red dress and Sung looked so dapper in his suit. We spent the first half of the session in the lush woods for a classic Pacific Northwest look and then made our way down to the beach for sunset and magic lighting. Theresa and Sung have such beautiful chemistry together and I can’t wait for their wedding!
Kathleen & Adam
A Columbia River Gorge Engagement
Kathleen and Adam are world travelers who first met in Colombia, South America. With such adventurous spirits, it only seemed appropriate to explore the beautiful Columbia River Gorge at Government Cove for their engagement session. This smart and fun couple and I had a blast exploring this cove during sunset. Love this hidden gem near Hood River for photography sessions. We picked blackberries off the vine, shared recipes and travel stories and they danced in the light of a very spectacular sunset. I can’t wait for their beautiful forest wedding this weekend! Congrats Kathleen & Adam!
Anna, David & Baby Jack
A Lake Oswego Engagement
Anna, David, and their darling son Jack joined me for a lovely engagement session along the Willamette River at George Rogers Park in Lake Oswego. Anna and David are getting married this weekend and I couldn’t be happier for this sweet couple and their little boy. It was so special to include their son in their engagement photos and I could see they are wonderful parents together. At the tail end of the photoshoot, Anna and David had a romantic dance under golden hour sunlight and I could already envision them on the dance floor during their wedding. Congratulations Anna and David!
Megan & Nathan
Pacific City Engagement
Megan and Nathan’s engagement in Pacific City was truly one for the books. The stormy sky and slight wind made for legendary colors and stunning looks from Megan and Nathan! We soaked in the ocean views on Cape Kiwanda and snuggled under a Pendelton blanket for some more intimate moments. The two of them ended their day with celebratory beers at Pelican Brewing. I am so looking forward to their elopement at the Hoyt Arboretum Redwood Deck! Cheers to the happy couple!
Lindsey & Kirk
A Portland Engagement
Lindsey and Kirk are both a kind and gorgeous couple and their northwest Portland engagement session reflected their laid-back, yet elegant style. We started the evening on a quiet trail in Forest Park. Their darling instagram-famous dog, Gordie, made an appearance and the evening glow was pure magic! After a wardrobe change, we headed down to The Pearl District for some sunset photos at Tanner Springs Park, talk about opportunities to play with beautiful colors and reflections! So excited to photograph their wedding this weekend at Gorge Crest Vineyards near Mt. Hood. It’s going to be so dreamy!
