After taking a look at Jessica’s web site we knew this was the photographer we wanted to document our wedding. Her pictures all have a style about them that make you say “Wow” and perfectly capture the moment and the subject’s personality.
When we met Jessica for our engagement session, my wife and I ended up having a lot more fun than we had expected. We felt like rock stars roaming around downtown Portland. Not only did the photos turn out great, but Jessica was very personable and made us feel comfortable being ourselves in front of the camera.
Our wedding took place in California and Jessica and Erica flew down to capture our special day. They took some fun pictures of us before the wedding with our bridal party and also documented the rest of the event. We just got our pictures back from the wedding and they look great.
Besides the great artwork that Jessica produces, her web site is also very good. We were able to take care of all of our payments online as well as select and review the pictures for our engagement book and wedding books. I haven’t used other photographers before, but the system she has setup is very slick.
Our experience with Jessica was nothing short of fantastic.

My husband and I knew she was the photographer for us very early into our 22 month long engagement. 8 months before the big day we had a change of heart, decided to buy a house, canceled the majority of our original plans and had an intimate backyard ceremony and reception – surrounded by close friends and immediate family. Although all of our original vendors were wonderful and understanding, I couldn’t bear the thought of parting with Jessica and I am so thankful she was there to document our special day! Jessica was incredibly flexible, despite all of the changes and because we had friends and family helping us (rather than professionals), she even gave us advice on the wedding day schedule and overall flow for the ceremony and reception.
My husband and I truly appreciate that Jessica took the time to get to know us not only as a couple, but as individuals as well – before we knew it she felt like a longtime friend! Our engagement photo session was a blast – couldn’t have been more “us.” We were lucky enough to have Jessica and Elijah on our wedding day and they both made us feel so comfortable and special. It was fun rather than stressful and the photos went above and beyond our expectations!
We will forever be thankful for Jessica’s kindness and unmatched talent!
Jessica and her team did an absolutely amazing job photographing my wedding in September 2011. My pictures are so dreamy and beautiful, and she really captured the emotion of the day. Our only challenge was narrowing down the images because there were so many good ones!! On top of all of this, Jessica traveled to DC (where we lived during our engagement) to do our engagement shoot. Those pics are perfect snapshot of our happy times living in DC and they really show our personalities. She is also SO much fun to work with, and helped make our big day a blast. Jessica’s services and albums are on the higher end of the price scale (at least for Portland), but I’d say it’s worth it. She’s the best!
Jessica’s work speaks for itself. You don’t need to spend much time on her website or blog to realize that she produces incredible photos. Beyond the exceptional quality of her images, Jessica is a top notch professional who brings a sense of confidence and ease to everything she does. Jessica was the first vendor we booked. Photography was very important for us and we spent a lot of time researching local photographers. As soon as we met Jessica, we knew she was the right photographer for us. She is is very talented; but the best part is that she is really great, fun and makes you feel very comfortable right away.
