This stunning Cathedral Park engagement session with Kristin and Jay was so much fun and I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple or a more gorgeous evening. Kristin and Jay first set eyes on each other at a Seahawks game in Seattle. As fate would have it, they were brought together again in Portland several years later and things just clicked! We were joined by their dog, Russell (as in Russell Wilson! Go Seahawks!) and we spent a lovely evening wandering the beach beneath St. John’s Bridge, capturing stunning sunset photos along the river, and laughing over old memories the two shared. They’re getting married next Spring at Abbey Road Farm in Carlton, Oregon and I can’t wait!

Megan and Brian
A Cathedral Park Engagement
Megan and Brian and I met up beneath the St. John’s bridge in Cathedral park this autumn for their engagement shoot. This couple loves adventure and their adorable rescue pups, both hounds, and I was in puppy hound heaven. It was a pretty cold and blustery day and they both just went for it- sans coats and next to the water no less! Megan and Brian have that unspoken love that you can feel from across the room (or a park) with their glances and their laughter. I love the architecture of the Saint John’s Bridge and I love exploring new parts of this masterpiece with each and every shoot I do there. So looking forward to their wedding this September at Youngberg Hill Vineyards!
Leslie and Matt
A Cathedral Park Wedding at St. John
Leslie and Matt’s wedding was nothing short of a fantastic, whimsical and memorable day and night of festivities beneath the St. John’s bridge in Cathedral Park. Complete with a bike decorating station, a bike parade, guests singing “A Bicycle Built for Two” during the ceremony, live music a plenty, fresh pies from Pie Spot and a choreographed dance to M.J’s Thriller, all guests were in for a treat of a wedding! Leslie and Matt have that kind of love that you can feel. There was an electricity in the air, along with some subtle rain that made for a night to remember. With Leslie’s stunning dress from Divine Designs, amazing planning from Molly Barrs with Soiree events, colorful fun florals from East West Floral Arts and a killer live band, Five Guys Named Moe, this was the party to remember.
Margaret Drake and Harrison
St. Johns Bridge Engagement and Family Photos
When I met Margaret and Drake, I could tell how much love they shared with each other and with Harrison. Margaret and Drake are a fun-loving and kind couple with great creativity and big hearts. We wanted to create creative and timeless images both together, and with the raddest 14 year old ever, Harrison. St. John’s Bridge and the Eastbank Esplanade lended stunning backdrops with incredible light for their shoot and I love these photos. We had a blast and even their cute pups, Lucky and Ruby, had fun! Thank you M+D+H! SO excited to photograph their elegant and woodsy wedding in July.
Dahna and Neil
A St. Johns Bridge Engagement
Dahna, Neil and I, and their awesome pup Penelope, met up at Cathedral Park; beneath the St. John’s bridge recently. We had a blast finding sun soaked trees and a cool random and huge pile of vinyl just sitting on a picnic table. The talented Kirstie Wight did Dahna’s pretty makeup. This loving and kind couple are down to earth, really fun and absolutely adorably in love. I can’t wait for their wedding this August at Bridal Veil Lakes!
Cara and Steven
A Cathedral Park and Waterfront Engagement
Cara and Steven share laughs, love and kindness and live in the darling St. John’s neighborhood. We started our engagement session at Cathedral Park, at the base of the St. John’s bridge and ended up at the waterfront with the stunning cherry blossoms. We had a blast in some of Portland’s not to be missed spots, and I can’t wait for their wedding next month at Hotel Deluxe!
