An Oregon Coast & Cannon Beach Engagement

I had such an amazing time spending the afternoon with Hayley and Chad at their destination engagement shoot at Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park. Ecola State Park was the perfect spot to catch a gorgeous sweeping seascape with perfect views of Haystack Rock. This rock was made millions of years ago and now stands tall as a majestic Oregon Coast icon. Being able to photograph this sweet couple’s engagement session on Cannon Beach was very special since this happens to be the very location where Chad proposed to Haley. I loved how playful and fun they were as we watched the sunset and played in the Pacific Ocean surf. Passersby’s thought our shoot was an wedding because of Hayley’s white dress and Chad’s suit. (Easy mistake!) Although this time around it was not a wedding I would definitely come back to photograph a Cannon Beach elopement or any Oregon Coast wedding any day for that matter! This place has captured my heart and I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to capture the connection between Hayley and Chad.

An Inspired Elopement in Downtown Portland

So honored to have this edgy elopement inspiration photoshoot featured on the very hip wedding blog Whimsically wed! This bold and magnetic elopement was inspired by the classic architecture of downtown Portland mixed with the grit of the city. Because Portland is becoming such a fun wedding destination, I wanted to highlight the unique urban architecture of historic downtown Portland. It became an incredibly unique photo session between all the fun backdrops such as the psychic readings sign and rooftop dance session. (dip baby dip!) We highlighted the evening sunlight and the cities’ outstanding architecture against the sky along with Molly’s unique emerald velvet dress and sexy leather coat and Matthew’s tweed Jcrew jacket and smooth moves. A Mt. Hood & Timberline Engagement

Merrin and Jay are a sweet outdoor loving Portland couple that recently got engaged and we went up to Timberline to celebrate with stunning photos. The dash of snow on the ground and the evergreen trees were the perfect winter backdrop for their Mt. Hood engagement photos. It was a cold, yet breathtakingly beautiful day on Mt. Hood that ended with a truly memorable sunset overlooking Mt. Jefferson & the Three Sisters; Wow. After getting nice and cold, we headed to the Skyway bar in Zigzag to warm up by the fire; This is one of their favorite places to stop on the way to the mountain and I love incorporating personal connections into the engagement photography session. These two lovelies are getting married in the spring at The Evergreen and I am beyond excited to photograph their wedding day!
