I had the pleasure of first meeting Kristina and Scott at their Oregon coast engagement session and now am honored to have been a part of their majestic day at their unique Silcox Hut wedding. Built in 1939, Silcox Hut was originally used as a warming hut but has now transformed into the ultimate mountain bed and breakfast. Sitting atop Mt. Hood at a staggering 7,000 ft and approximately 1,000 ft above Timberline Lodge, we had to take either snowcats or 4-wheel ATV’s up to the quaint hut. Being that Kristina and Scott are an adventurous and nature-oriented couple & I couldn’t have imagined a more fitting venue for their intimate wedding. Kristina looked absolutely stunning walking down the aisle makeup by the talented Olivia Hawthorne and hair by Pin It Pretty. I especially loved seeing Kristina’s son, Aiden, walk her up the stairs of the hut to the aisle. Surrounded by Silcox’s incredible wooden architecture, Kristina and Scott exchanged vows to one another in front of their family and close friends. I love that they incorporated a tree-planting ceremony of an evergreen, which they will later re-plant in their yard. At over a mile above the ground, we were above the clouds and were able to create some incredible sunset photos. Silcox is truly a magical place and I am so happy to have been entrusted with capturing the undeniable love Kristina and Scott share. Wishing many years of love and happiness to this kind & wonderful couple!

A Garden in the Woods Wedding
Suzanne and Joe’s wedding was a dream of a day! The Garden in the Woods is a stunning venue in the country hills of Albany, Oregon. On the drive in, the guests ride over a lake with stunning cranes welcoming them. The Oregon rain did come, but we dodged it as much as possible and as soon as the unique ceremony was about to begin, the sun shined down and Suzanne and Joe said I do. From hand-fasting to rock throwing, the ceremony was rad. The party went on through the night with fun music, great food and impromptu karaoke. Suzanne’s awesome dress was a custom made piece from the AniA Collection. So hot! Thanks S&J for inviting me to document an awesome party celebrating a great love!
Courtney & Brad
Eleuthera Bahamas Wedding
Meet Brad and Courtney, an incredibly kind-hearted, fun and exuberant couple.
The rehearsal dinner was held at the beautiful Sky Beach Club. The night was filled with hip-shaking island music, a fish fry and good laughs and a hilarious toast given by Brad’s Dad.
This welcome bag was given to all the guests which had lots of thoughtful treats, a bottle of wine, a map of Eleuthera Island and the keepsake canvas beach bag, which replicated the artistic invite. This is just one example of how friendly and sweet B&C are.
Fun shots of the guys. Brad’s coat created by Portland’s own Este’s Men’s Store.
Courtney was a breathtaking bride, wearing a custom dress by Phillips Bridal, located in Portland.
The centerpieces were created using vintage tea canisters, which Courtney had been collecting for the occasion. The flowers included a colorful array of roses, zinnias, mums and tropical greens.
The wedding took place Cocodimama, an elegant and charming beach resort with an Italian rustic menu. The rooms, service, food and atmosphere were beyond amazing.
The dancing, laughs and fun went on throughout the night.
Judith Arnell created the sophisticated custom wedding bands. Danae Hernandez with I Dream of Letters was the brilliant calligrapher behind the invite design.
A relaxing and yummy good bye brunch was held the next day at the Sky Beach Club.
As I start to reminisce about the beauty and power of Courtney and Brad’s Bahamian wedding I get goosebumps, as the memories of the sea, the vivid colors and the warm-hearted nature of everyone involved starts flooding back. This makes me so happy. Brad’s genuine and caring nature and Courtney’s fun-loving and compassionate personality welcomed us and showed us why their family and friends traveled to be near them on this day. Travis and I thank you for having us there on your remarkable day.
