A Black Butte Ranch Wedding

Grace and Jack’s perfect summer’s wedding at Black Butte had a few of my very favorite things; horses, canoes, and s’mores! Black Butte Ranch is one of my very favorite resorts located near Sisters, Oregon with stunning views of the Three Sisters Mountains and Mt. Washington (the one with the pointy top) The staff, food, views and grounds are top notch and I loved the connection the couple have with the location as they have celebrated several holidays there. Grace and Jack met in dental school and knew there was something really special between them. I originally met Jack because I photographed his Dad’s second weddin g wayyy back in 2013! (side note: I’m celebrating 11 years of full-time weddings this year!) I absolutely loved Grace’s dress which was her mom’s wedding dress redesigned just for Grace. The flowers were simple and elegant from Jordan at Blum Design and the party was non-stop! With a sweet first look with her Dad, an emotional ceremony complete with tears and Grace’s veil lightly blowing in the summer breeze, and an elegant open-air dinner on the lawn, this was truly a perfect day on the ranch!

An Oregon Coast & Cannon Beach Engagement

I had such an amazing time spending the afternoon with Hayley and Chad at their destination engagement shoot at Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park. Ecola State Park was the perfect spot to catch a gorgeous sweeping seascape with perfect views of Haystack Rock. This rock was made millions of years ago and now stands tall as a majestic Oregon Coast icon. Being able to photograph this sweet couple’s engagement session on Cannon Beach was very special since this happens to be the very location where Chad proposed to Haley. I loved how playful and fun they were as we watched the sunset and played in the Pacific Ocean surf. Passersby’s thought our shoot was an wedding because of Hayley’s white dress and Chad’s suit. (Easy mistake!) Although this time around it was not a wedding I would definitely come back to photograph a Cannon Beach elopement or any Oregon Coast wedding any day for that matter! This place has captured my heart and I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to capture the connection between Hayley and Chad.

The wonderful women at Aleda Fitness in NW Portland teamed up with Amy Wing Designs and create an everyday beautiful piece of jewelry that means something. Not only is My Confident Heart classy, timeless, cute and will go with everything, $10 from every piece sold will be donated to Girls Inc of NW Oregon to inspire girls from the ages of 6-18 to be strong, smart and bold. I love this organization and what they are doing! The pendants and chains are sterling silver and are meant to be worn during day to day activities. Engagement

Engaged: Ali and Jared!

Ali and Jared are tying on the knot at the beautiful Garden Vineyards on Aug. 7th, 2009 and I’m honored that I’m the chosen photographer! We had a great time in Laurelhurst Park, located in SE Portland. The light was magical and the flowers were in bloom 🙂 there happened to be chalk on the sidewalk, and we took care of the thank you cards well in advance. (check that off the list!) I also was working with the newest addition to the Jessica Hill Photography team, Leah Verwey! She’s a very talented photographer and a very sweet person! We’re happy to have her on board and looking forward to taking the 09 Summer by storm! Jared and Ali, you’re great fun and I hope you love the post! Looking forward to designing your Guest Book!
