Desiree and Kate are the kind of couple you meet and just click with. Hours seem like minutes and my face hurt from smiling so much. I loved their plans for their engagement shoot around Portland, incorporating wine tasting at Enso, a vintage arcade and a walk in the woods with their three labs. It makes me so happy when a couple truly uses their engagement shoot as way to reflect on their shared interests and hobbies. The wine was a little more Des, the arcade a little more Kate, and the woods were truly them. We had a blast and I am so looking forward to their downtown Portland wedding in April!

Erika and Jon
A Portland Engagement featured in the New York Times
Erika and Jon’s love story is more than just an adventure, it was a chance encounter in Bangkok, Thailand that altered their lives in ways they could have never imagined. When Erika was traveling abroad from New York and Jon was traveling from Sweden, who would know that Tinder would be the medium to bring this intelligent couple together for life. See the featured image and read their love story and announcement at the New York Times website! After submitting their engagement announcement in the New York Times and then hearing that they received the feature, we all celebrated and the celebrations lasted through the weekend with their incredible wedding taking place at a private residence near Beacon Rock in the Columbia River Gorge. Can’t wait to share more from their wedding day soon. Congrats Erika and Jon! Skol!
Michelle and Chris
A Portland Oregon Engagement
When you first meet Michelle and Chris, you can’t help but notice how so full of love, kindness, joy and adventure they have together and for others! Michelle and Chris fell in love among the castles of Germany and Chris proposed on top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, so I knew these photos would be something epic! The engagement session started as a fun day along Mississippi with a beer/photo stop at Prost! a classic German beer spot, and then our day turned to evening and a magical adventure happened all around Portland! We headed to the East Bank Esplanade, the new SE Portland mural “Everything is Everything” (Which inspired me to then listen to that song by Lauren Hill and the Fugees from the way back! SO good! ) and then to their awesome neighborhood around the Alberta Arts area to hang with their cute pup, Charlie.
They are going to be saying their I Do’s on the coast of the Big Island of Hawaii on the shores of the Kealakekua Bay. I’m SO very honored to be documenting this next huge adventure in their lives and couldn’t be more excited for them!
Laurie and Brett
A Portland Pearl Engagement
Laurie and Brett are a super kind, gorgeous, fun-loving couple and we lucked out with one of the last nice days of the year! We met in the Pearl and walked around the ever-changing neighborhood to find some nooks and crannies and we found a sky! Not just any sky either, the clouds were amazing and the blue was perfect. So thrilled to be documenting Laurie and Brett’s wedding in Bend this Summer!
Sarah and Carter
An Industrial and Waterfront Engagement
Yes, Sarah and Carter are truly this beautiful! Their love for each other was immediately apparent in the way they interacted with each other and I love how absolutely happy they both are. It made me happy! After a few emails about cool locations, we wanted a mix of industrial and elegant, but still very Portland. So we met up in the NW industrial area and had a blast capturing their great style with interesting backdrops. I noticed right away that they were pretty comfortable in front of the camera, and then I found out that Carter was a child model! I can see why! Also, Sarah is a fashionista with an incredible (and addictive!) beauty blog called The Confessions of a Product Junkie! Check it out and be inspired. I loved her style so much, I was personally inspired to buy my very own pair of cobalt blue heels for my engagement shoot this week! Thanks so much Sarah and Carter! I’m beyond thrilled to document your elegant winter wedding at the unique Armory with Bridal Bliss handling the full service coordination. Of course, I’m especially stoked for this one!
Lucy and Tim
A Multnomah Village and Waterfront Engagement
Lucy and Tim have a beautiful energy together. Their fun and exuberant love is contagious! Their cute pup tagged along for our first location around their neighborhood in Multnomah Village and finished the shoot around the waterfront and on the Broadway Bridge around dusk with some incredible light. I’m so excited to be documenting their first steps together as husband and wife in September!
Leslie and Mark
North Portland Engagements
Leslie and Mark and I met up recently around the Mississippi area, which is their neighborhood and mine, so it worked out great! Leslie and Mark are kind, sweet and comfortable to just chill and talk with. We had coffee, went to Por Que No, (which is where they had their first date!) and took their dog to a secret beach to play. I love having real life engagement shoots that replicate what you, as a couple, do in your spare time! The results are fun, true and honest and also document a great time in your life by showing who and where you are as a couple. Leslie and Mark are planning to say I DO this upcoming August at the very hip Castaway space in NW Portland. I can’t wait to photograph their fun day!
Becky and Scott
Portland Lifestyle Engagements
#eyelashkiss
Becky and Scott invited me to their Portland home for their engagement session recently and I had no idea what I was in for! A stunning home, incredible gardens, cute kitties, flowers, berries and a greenhouse! Becky and Scott are SO inspiring, kind and compassionate and have planted their incredible garden by hand and with love. It makes perfect sense that their wedding take place later this month at the gorgeous Leach Botanical Gardens. I’m so happy to be documenting their big day!
