David Hill Vineyard Wedding

A beautiful bride! Austie created Michelle’s beautiful romantic look!

Michelle and David said their I Do’s on August 8th among the rolling hills and sprawling grapevines of the stunning David Hill Vineyard in Forest Grove Oregon. The wedding was absolutely spectacular! The talented Austie did
Michelle’s beautiful makeup and also created her one of a kind hair
piece. The amazing flowers and decor were a perfect match to the
surroundings! Their colors were purple and green, with hints of gray
and ivory. The food was served family style, with individual salads. I
loved it 🙂 Voila catering did an outstanding job and everything tasted yummy! The dance floor was encircled in lights and everyone danced and ate yummy Saint Cupcake cupcakes for dessert. Leah and I had such a great time photographing and I’m so honored that
Michelle and Dave choose me to document their first steps together as

Ali & Jared
Garden Vineyards Wedding

Ali and Jared’s wedding was incredibly beautiful and inspiring! From the vineyard vistas to the garden elegance, Garden Vineyards is a stunning venue located in Hillsboro, Oregon. Jared and Ali looked amazing and exchanged vows with family and friends and their awesome dog, who also joined them on the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife! The flowers (insanely awesome!) were done by one of Ali’s close friends:) The exquisite food was both vegan friendly and delicious by the talented team at Art of Catering. The seriously good music was spun by Mr Mumu – who I can’t wait to dance to again soon at Saucebox. Thanks So very much for choosing me to document your gorgeous wedding and enjoy the sneak peek! Amber & Kody
Portland Rose Garden Wedding

I was honored to document Amber and Kody’s wedding on August 3rd at the Portland Rose Garden and The Portland City Grill. Amber and
Kody both wore TOMS Shoes and I think this really speaks volumes about
their compassion and love, not only towards each other, but for the
world. See TOMS mission here. Their lovely sermon focused on Amber & Kody’s love of nature and animals. (I’m totally in love with their awesome dogs Wheezy and Marley:) They were also attendants at the wedding! Amber wore Lena Medoyeff and looked gorgeous with her hand crafted bouquet made from fresh flowers from the local farmers market! 🙂 Yeah! (Didn’t she do a GREAT job!?) Their wedding was incredibly fun, hip and relaxed, with Grandma and Dad doing the Wave and napkin hats with the family! I had so much fun & I’m super honored to have been a part of the adventure! Kate Davis Holiday Album

As many of you may already know, I’m a HUGE Kate Davis fan! While Travis and I were celebrating my birthday at Wilf’s Restaurant almost two years ago we just happen to witness her poise, stand-up bass skill and incredible voice that night! We were in love 🙂 She was only 16 then and a Jr. in college and now she’s in NYC and a freshman at the Manhatann School of Music! yeah! The afternoon of her last Wilf’s performance we met up for the shoot at Union Station for that subtle vintage-y feel. We were going for a hip holiday look, with nothing too campy or Christmas-y. I love the way the pics look and Kate’s cool green dress adds the perfect holiday touch. I can’t wait to hear the new album due around Thanksgiving! Please check out her awesome new website and listen to her music 🙂 Her rendition of My Funny Valentine always gives me goosebumps! She’s a talent that will take over the world soon. My Portland Photographer!

I’m honored to announce that I have been selected to be 1 of 20 photographers featured on the My Portland Photographer blog! The blog was started last year by a group of well-established and
extremely talented Portland-area photographers. My Portland Photographer is an incredible opportunity for some of the best Portland photographers to post just one or two favorite images once a week, along with a brief story about the image or event. It’s exciting to see such a great community of photographers bringing their own unique style to the same website. The blog is a true collaboration of artists! I love blogging on MPP because I can pick my absolute favorite images to feature, not just the standard cake-cutting, first dance fare that’s expected. Women’s Council of Realtors Fashion Show!

Last month, I had the pleasure of heading to the Oswego Lake Country Club to photograph the Women’s Council of Realtor’s Fashion Show and Dinner. The show featured ton’s of great music, food and fashion! My friend, Yasmin
Khajavi with Stewart title of Oregon, (and an incredible photographer) helped coordinate the entire show and did a great job! The hip designs were by the Maytee, Parallel and Lucia! Thanks so much for inviting me to be a part of the fun!

Client Appreciation Party 2009!

Thanks so much to all that attended and participated in the first annual Jessica Hill Photography client appreciation party at the amazing Heathman Restaurant. Mandi
Downs, of Champagne Events helped plan the entire event and did an
incredible job of keeping things running smoothly. She’s pictured here
making sure the birds are perfectly perched:) I highly recommend her for
your wedding or event! Check out her cute new website here. Kate Davis provided the lovely jazz for the night, and you can see her live all around Portland. She’s my favorite jazz singer around!

Viewpoint Inn Wedding

Thank you Rachelle and Aaron for choosing me to document your breathtaking wedding day! Not only was this couple amazing, so was the perfect
weather matched with a breathtaking view! The wedding ceremony was held at darling The Bell Tower Chapel and the
reception was held at The Viewpoint Inn
a historic boutique hotel on Larch Mountain overlooking the Gorge. Their wedding colors
were green and brown with hints of ivory and black which created
a classic vintage, earthy feel. The yummy and beautiful cake was made by Melissa at Sweet Cakes. Rachelle looked gorgeous in her Casablanca
gown, and Aaron looked sharp in a brown suit. All the guests
marveled at the beautiful sky and the elegant surroundings while having
a very memorable afternoon of celebration! The couple drove away in Aaron’s awesome yellow GTE, which made for quite the send off 🙂 Congratulations Rachelle and Aaron and I wish you

Allie & Josh
Zenith Vineyards Wedding

Allie and Josh’s wedding was a beautiful and forever memorable celebration of love. There wedding took place at the beautiful Zenith Vineyards on Saturday April 18th. Allie looked stunning in her Melissa Sweet gown and Twigs and Honey hair piece and Josh was looking sharp in his classic tux. The amazingly talented and fun Jennifer Rand with Face Body Beauty did Allie’s romantic makeup and I highly recommend her for brides! Sue Hamilton with She Designs
coordinated the event and went above and beyond, even picking white
branches from the field to add to the alter to make Allie’s dream
wedding come true! The colors were blue with hints of silver and light
pink, very romantic and vintage! The flowers were created by the
talented folks at Geranium Lake.
The unique and touching ceremony took place on the veranda and their
family and friends were both laughing and crying! The beautiful scene
made for a ceremony to remember! My talented assistant Erica was with
me and we had a blast with creative candids and portraits of the couple
and the wedding party. The reception was super fun with the dance floor
filled, a cool photo booth and great food from Vibrant Table! The yummy and pretty cupcakes were made by the talented Cupcake Mama!
