I look back on Lei and Alfonso’s wedding with so much awe and love for how they beautifully crafted a day that represented both of their cultures. I’ve known Alfonso’s wonderful family since photographing his sister’s wedding at the same venue in 2018. The ceremony started with a traditional Western wedding at the University of Portland where the couple originally met while in a study group together (awe!) Lei took our breathe away in her gorgeous dress from Anna’s Bridal and traditional Samoan flower crown from Blum. The ceremony was then followed by a stunning holiday-inspired reception at the Portland Golf Club complete with twinkle lights galore, amazing food and music and mingling. Their gorgeous cake from Dream Cakes was topped with an antique cake topper which has now crowned wedding cakes in their family for over 50 years. After the emotional toasts came the dancing! The couple danced the traditional Samoan dance called “taulagua” with the bride, groom, and bride’s family in cultural attire. The ceremony symbolizes the closing of the event, thanking guests for joining in the celebration. From start to finish their day was filled with endless smiles and unforgettable moments of union between two cultures. Happy one year anniversary Lei and Alfonso!

Jenna and Gregory
An Elegant Portland Golf Club Wedding
WOW! Jenna and Gregory’s wedding will definitely go down in history! Jenna and Greg wed at the gorgeous St. Mary’s Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and the historic Portland Golf Club. This sentimental, kind and fun-loving couple and I first met at their engagement session and I knew then their wedding would be incredible because of their magnetic and warm personalities! You can actually feel the love between these two with the way they look at each other, smile and touch each other and they way they light up the room together! The details were timeless elegance, with stunning florals and greenery from the talented Jordan with Blum Flowers. Nora Sheils, with Bridal Bliss provided incredible coordination and made sure everything ran perfectly and of course it did!! Anna’s bridal is where Jenna found her breathtaking dress by Hayley Paige and her shoes were from Badgely Mischka. Marc and his amazing team at Moving Pictures did the cinematography. Guests were treated with an aperitif and digestif cart along with knowledge and tastings from Multnomah Whisky Library. Family and friends danced the night away with amazing live music from the Essentials while the back patio served cuban cigars for all to try! The gorgeous five tier cake was covered in hand-made sugar flowers from Dream Cakes and topped with the bride’s grandparents cake topper, which was also used at her parent’s wedding as well. This was one of those weddings that reminds me why I love what I do so very much and this is what the wonderful mother of the bride, Kristine said about her photographic experience with me: “You have a gift that is a blessing. You, personally, made the wedding perfect for us by capturing the best day of our lives. The reason the images you capture are so moving is because the couples and the people you photograph trust and adore you. Having you behind the lens is what makes the magic happen. With much gratitude, respect and love, now and for the next 5 weddings we are looking forward to sharing with you.” This really made me cry happy tears! Beyond honored to and THANK YOU for choosing me to capture the love, energy and joy of Jenna and Greg’s wedding and I know you will cherish the memories for lifetimes!
Libby and Chris
A Portland Golf Club Wedding
Libby and Chris’s wedding took place on a gorgeous August day at the historic Portland Golf Club and couldn’t have been more elegant, sweet or gorgeous. You can actually see the love between these two with the way they kindly treat each other, touch each other and look at each other. The details were dripping in elegance, with stunning florals from Zest complete with one of the most beautiful head tables I’ve ever seen and white and greenery accenting the grounds. Nora Sheils, with Bridal Bliss provided incredible coordination and made sure everything ran perfectly. Anna’s bridal is where Libby found her remarkable dress by Hayley Paige and her shoes (obsessed!) were from Badgely Mischka. Family and friends danced the night away with fun beats from Shawn with Event Team Entertainment and ended the night with a fun sparkler exit. Truly an enchanting wedding day and night to remember forever.
