Lei & Alfonso
A Forest Park Engagement

While attending UofP Lei passed out a study-group sign-up sheet for a particularly difficult poly-sci class and Alfonso wrote his name down. Little she know that he would become her future husband! He kept messaging her after the class was over and she was wondering why? Well, Alfonso knew she was something extraordinary and as soon as Lei got the hint she saw how special Alfonso was as well. This kind and intelligent couple and I first met at Jenna & Greg’s elegant and fun wedding last year and had a blast. Lei and Alfonso love nature walks and the PNW and thought Forest Park would be the perfect place to photograph their engagement. We found a grove of palms, caught the perfect light (magic hour yesss!!) hiked on the trails and watched the clouds while laying in the grass. I loved this session and this couple and I’m so looking forward to their winter wedding next weekend at the Portland Golf Club!

A NW Portland Engagement

Tater tots, billiards and beer? Yes please! Hannah and Jason are a fun-loving, creative and musical couple who met in NW Portland at Blue Moon over their love of tots, pool and craft beer. This incredible couple both share the love of music in their professions, Hannah a professional violinist and Jason, a long-time music blogger at chorus.fm. I love infusing a couple’s love story into their engagement photos; so we met at their original meeting location and shared tots and then explored the SE Portland waterfront for some moody sunset photos with the Portland skyline backdrop. I loved Hannah’s flowy gown, of which she has many considering her profession, which I think is a definite perk to her job! We had a total blast and I’m so looking forward to their wedding this month at the historic Sentinel hotel.

A NE Portland Valentine Shoot

When Ally and Marcus first reached out I was instantly excited about their Valentine session. Ally and Marcus live in both LA and Vancouver BC and have two cutie pups Rocco and Nala. Marcus Grodd just so happened to be one of the hunky finalists on the reality tv show Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise so I was fan-girling a little for sure. (One guilty pleasure of mine is watching the Bachelorette with my friends on Monday nights! #bachelornation) Thank goodness they met after Marcus’s TV romances didn’t work out because they are truly great together! Ally is full of positive energy and excitement and Marcus is thoughtful and caring. You can tell that they are best friends in all they do! While I was in Vancouver BC recently Ally and Marcus dropped off a vintage photography book and amazing teas as a thank you for the photos. They collect vintage books and gifted me a copy of The Concerned Photographer! Thank you guys! Together with Hotel Eastlund we all created some killer photos of the gorgeous couple for their social media accounts for the year and had a blast doing it. What an incredible year! 2014 was filled with momentous weddings, kind and beautiful couples, whimsical memories and the best day of my life, my own wedding! From the top of Mt. Hood to the vineyards of wine country, this past year has been filled with some of my favorite couples and memories. Portland in the house! This is one of my favorite pics, and it will mean a lot to the couple very soon, as R&A are moving to NYC soon!

The Portland rain didn’t stop Rachel and Anthony from having a blast and gallivanting around with Erica and I while we took fun photos!

The amazing Jordan with Blum Designs in Flowers created the stunning bouquets and boutonnieres using fresh hydrangeas.

The roof top terrace at EcoTrust is a stunning place to say your I Do’s.

The venue is so very hip and urban with an elegant, yet eclectic feel.

Saint Cupcake created the lovely tower of treats, and the favors were environmentally friendly grocery bags for the guests.

It was a super fun party with awesome music, dancing and friends!

Rachel and Anthony are an intelligent and incredible couple who recently tied the knot on top of EcoTrusts roof in the heart of the Pearl District. The wedding party was a ton of fun and R&A could not have been happier! Rachel and Anthony met here in Portland while Anthony was in town for business, and now business is moving them to NYC for an awesome job opportunity. R&A – I wish you the best of life, happiness always and don’t forget to write! Portland will miss you! xoxo Hope you love the sneak peek!
