Amanda and Lane’s wedding was nothing short of magical. I have known Amanda for over three years and in that time she has become the amazing studio manager and a photographer for my studio, A Lovely Day Photography! I had the pleasure of getting to know Lane during their vintage RV engagement session earlier this spring and was excited & honored to photograph their stylish Union Pine wedding in the fall. The couple looked absolutely stunning: Amanda was styled in a dress from a & b Bridal Shop Portland and Kirstie Wight Makeup created her hair and makeup look. Lane wore a great tux from Danielli Menswear. The incredible flowers were designed by the talented Brenna Burnett Florals and the exposed cake was done by none other than the team at Dreamcakes. Please check out the very cool video that the killer team at Glitch made as well! The whole day could not have been more perfectly “Amanda and Lane” with all of the unique personalized touches such as the hand made benches made by Lane and his dad that the guests sat on personalized cocktails and s’mores! Cindy with Peachykeen Coordination helped to keep everything on schedule and planned perfectly! Walking down the aisle was Amanda’s favorite part of the day, “I thought I would cry, but I was overcome with happiness in the form of laughter. I laughed all the way down the aisle! These are also some of my favorite photos from the day. I love the look on my dad’s face as he sees my joy”. This was an awe-inspiring and very fun wedding celebrating the love of these two stylish and smart people and I’m so happy for them!

Ande and Michael
A Japanese Garden Engagement
These two!!!! Ande and Mike are full of life, love and so much spirit! I had the absolute honor of photographing at the Portland Japanese Garden, with permission of course. I was overwhelmed in beauty by the trees, koi fish streams and waterfalls and had this crazy idea for the koi fish to be circling their heads. Ande and Mike laid on the dock and waited patiently for the koi fish to line up perfectly and it was hilarious! We stopped foot traffic and I was talking to the koi fish to align. For sunset we hung out on the SE Waterfront and had fun dancing with the fading sun and calm waves. Ande and Mike- You guys are so awesome and I’m so beyond elated to work with you at your Sentinel wedding this weekend with Bridal Bliss! It’s going to be MAJESTIC!
Vi and Alex
A Nines Hotel and Downtown Portland Engagement
Vi and Alex are the kind of people that feel like old friends right when you meet them. From the Departure rooftop at the Nines in downtown Portland to the SE industrial docks, they made Portland shine a little brighter and look a little hotter. Literally, it was the hottest day of the summer and these two still smiled, laughed and looked incredible! I’m so elated to be photographing their wedding this weekend at the elegant Oregon Golf Club!
Rachel and John
Portland Engagement and Pet Photography
Rachel and John and I all met at Laurelhurst Park recently for a fantastic time in nature with their pups! Rachel is a veterinarian, and the couple love dogs! Guinness is the big black dog, Zoe is the black and tan German shepherd mix, Griffin is the blue Merle Aussie and Ziggy is the puppy Aussie! It was a lot of fun getting individual portraits of each pup, but the group photo was a bit challenging! 🙂 We made it happen and all the pups were really great and sweet. I love the pic of Rachel with her oldest pup, Guinness. The weather was overcast, but it made for some great light and plenty of snuggling. They are so cute and happy together! I’m so looking forward to working with this kind, loving and fun couple in May!

Danielle & Sean – Portland Engagement Photos
one of my personal faves!
Danielle and Sean are super fun and we had a blast on the photo shoot. I couldn’t stop laughing with them!
Yes, this is their campaign poster of love.
Danielle and Sean are in love with laughter, fun and each other. We met up recently at Laurelhurst Park in SE Portland and they brought some fun props like bubbles, candy and American flags that were made in China…. We laughed a lot and had a great time gallivanting around the park finding cool backdrops for the pics. I’m super excited to photograph their May wedding, which is right around the corner. Hope you love the pics D&S!
Francoise Weeks Flowers
Francoise is a wonderful woman and talented florist who works out of her incredible studio in SE Portland.
I loved the woodlands class, and I highly recommend taking it if you love nature.
Francoise Weeks is an incredible European Florist who specializes in weddings and events. I was able to attend her woodland class last week and loved learning all about arrangements and the organic natural elements that go into these designs. Francoise taught me to look at my yard and garden differently and to explore the various textures of different plants and leafs within the design. My finished design is on the left hand side of the bottom image, and Francoise’s is on the right. Francoise is great and I definitely recommend her! Check out her website here: www.francoiseweeks.com
