Sara and Ben’s engagement was a true Pacific Northwest adventure! This two day adventure started with a sunset hike on Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park for sweeping views of the mountains and dazzling golden light and woke up bright and early for a dawn session for a morning SUP board paddle on Lake Crescent while the sun rose. These two have a deep love of their home in Washington and all the outdoor activities it provides. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day with more beautiful people! Congratulations on your engagement, Sara and Ben!
Theresa and Sung dazzled at their Hug Point engagement and bridal session! Theresa was absolutely stunning in her bright red dress and Sung looked so dapper in his suit. We spent the first half of the session in the lush woods for a classic Pacific Northwest look and then made our way down to the beach for sunset and magic lighting. Theresa and Sung have such beautiful chemistry together and I can’t wait for their wedding!
Kathleen and Adam are world travelers who first met in Colombia, South America. With such adventurous spirits, it only seemed appropriate to explore the beautiful Columbia River Gorge at Government Cove for their engagement session. This smart and fun couple and I had a blast exploring this cove during sunset. We picked blackberries off the vine, shared recipes and travel stories and they danced in the light of a very spectacular sunset. I can’t wait for their beautiful forest wedding this weekend! Congrats Kathleen & Adam!
There’s nothing like celebrating your engagement while dancing on the river and enjoying an ice-cold beer in the grass along the Columbia River Gorge! Stephanie and Adam are getting married this October and it’s easy to see why. These two have such a relaxed and fun energy & our engagement photoshoot at Government Cove was a total blast! Not only did we enjoy peak summer weather, but the sunset itself was totally incredible. Soon Stephanie and Adam will be saying “I do” at Smith Rock for their elopement and next year for the big party at the Eleanor Ballroom. Excited for this smart and fun couple!
Anna and Travis said their vows one year ago at the beautiful Mt. View Orchard in Hood River, Oregon wedding. Beautiful rows of apple trees and the silhouette of Mt. Hood made for a gorgeous location for a simple yet elegant wedding in the orchard. It was the perfect backdrop for a day filled to the brim with excitement and oh so much love! After photographing their snowy vintage-inspired engagement at Timberline Lodge, I knew it would be a thoughtful, casual and beautiful event. Anna stunned guests and Travis alike in her BHLDN gown. Her rustic bouquet and the florals were created by Travis’s mom, a florist in Napa. The wild flowers really added to the rustic location and I loved the mis-matched bridesmaids dresses. The ceremony followed with an amazing fresh meal from a Hood River local food truck, plenty to cheers, and a flash hail storm!!! What happens when a hail-storm hits your outdoor wedding? You dance all night to the incredible beats of DJ Jimbo of course! (Did someone say conga?) What a wedding! Many happy memories, Anna and Travis.
Wildflowers, deep green forests, sprawling vineyards, and views of Mount Hood? Yes please! Sheila and Michael’s wedding at Gorge Crest Vineyard really had it all, but these two only had eyes for each other. Sheila was absolutely stunning in her vintage-inspired gown and her bouquet by Blum Floral, which perfectly complimented the couple’s elegant style. Thanks to coordination from the amazing Katy with Bridal Bliss, the day ran smoothly, from Sheila and Michael’s first look to their first steps as husband and wife. Guests enjoyed vibrant and delicious food from White Pepper and lawn games (gotta love giant Jenga!) Loved the personal details, including photos of the couple at each age corresponding to the table number. After the ceremony, the couple stole away for a little dance among the rows of vines and shared a quiet moment together to take it all in. Absolutely adored this relaxed yet elegant wedding in the mountains! Happy one year to this kind and wonderful couple!
Monica and Sara have a great love and threw a huge celebration to honor it! Monica and Sara’s wedding was a joyous party at the most beautiful location at Gorge Crest Vineyard in Washington on the Columbia River. With Mt. Hood in the distance, family and friends dancing under the stars and a momentous love that moves mountains, this wedding was unforgettable in every way. Monica and Sara are a great couple as they compliment each other and have a way of making everyone around them feel welcome and comfortable. They found their gorgeous dresses at Lena Medoyeff in the Pearl and their florals were created by the talented Leah at Rockwood Urban Farm. Their wedding day coordination and rentals from the amazing Debbie at Hitched in the Hood and makeup and hair from Kassandra Sommerville. What a wedding!
Monica and Sara’s rehearsal dinner last summer was a truly enchanted evening at a historic sunken wine cellar. Complete with great wine and food, brand new babies and mammas to be, friends singing great songs and beautiful love from a beautiful couple. The toasts were abundant with love and praise and poetry and many a tear was shed! This magical space is called Springhouse Cellars in downtown Hood River and you should visit soon for a tasting!
Erika and Jon met in Bangkok, Thailand while both traveling and that’s where their love story just begins. They later traveled together around SE Asia and slowly but surely fell in love surrounded by Buddhist monasteries and jungle hikes. Residing in both Sweden and New York respectively, they wondered how it would work with such a large distance between them. That’s when Jon took things to the next level and the adventure continued when he asked for Erika’s hand in marriage. Read their entire love story in the NY Times! They married on a beautiful September day at Beacon Rock State Park in Stevenson, Washington and the reception took place at a private residence in the Columbia River Gorge. Erika wore a remarkable dress by Antonio Gual for Tulle New York and Jon donned a classic tuxedo. Lauren with Honor Flowers created the stunning blooms and helped with day-of coordination and guests were treated to a raw oyster bar and a delicious three-course meal from Grand Cru Catering. The party went on into the night with custom beats from DJ Rev. Shines. Now newlyweds now live together in Sweden. This wedding was just as dreamy and beautiful as it was heart-felt and I’m so honored Erika and Jon chose me to document their first steps together as husband and wife. Skål!
