Monica and Sara’s rehearsal dinner last summer was a truly enchanted evening at a historic sunken wine cellar in Hood River, Oregon. Complete with great wine and food, brand new babies and mammas to be, friends singing great songs and beautiful love from a beautiful couple. The toasts were abundant with love and praise and poetry and many a tear was shed! This magical space is called The Ruins in downtown Hood River and it’s truly a hidden gem!

Erika and Jon
A Columbia Gorge Washington Wedding
Erika and Jon met in Bangkok, Thailand while both traveling and that’s where their love story just begins. They later traveled together around SE Asia and slowly but surely fell in love surrounded by Buddhist monasteries and jungle hikes. Residing in both Sweden and New York respectively, they wondered how it would work with such a large distance between them. That’s when Jon took things to the next level and the adventure continued when he asked for Erika’s hand in marriage. Read their entire love story in the NY Times! They married on a beautiful September day at Beacon Rock State Park in Stevenson, Washington, near Hood River, Oregon. The reception took place at a private residence in the Columbia River Gorge. Erika wore a remarkable dress by Antonio Gual from Tulle New York and Jon donned a classic tuxedo. Lauren with Honor Flowers created the stunning blooms and helped with day-of coordination and guests were treated to a raw oyster bar and a delicious three-course meal from Grand Cru Catering. The party went on into the night with custom beats from DJ Rev. Shines. Now newlyweds now live together in Sweden. This wedding was just as dreamy and beautiful as it was heart-felt and I’m so honored Erika and Jon chose me to document their first steps together as husband and wife in the Columbia River Gorge. Skål!

Jessica & Nick
A Columbia River Gorge Engagement
Constant, strong and loyal are a few words I would use to describe the stunning waterfalls Jess, Nick and I visited on their engagement shoot this past Spring. I would also use those same words to describe Jess and Nick’s relationship. They are just as kind and beautiful as they look and I’m so excited to share some of these whimsical moments from their fun shoot. We started in Portland in the North Industrial area and ended at Horsetail Falls and Ponytail Falls in the magnificent Columbia River Gorge. I loved this transition between the urban and natural. Very cool juxtaposition between the environments. Amazing hair and makeup by Sarah Abadi with Contour Makeup Art. I’m so excited for their wedding and their honeymoon, which Nick completely planned and will be a secret to Jess until they arrive! SO romantic!

Laura and Edward – A Columbia Gorge Hotel Wedding
Laura and Edward’s wedding was a dreamy day of remarkable views, a beautiful couple and a ton of fun. The Columbia Gorge Hotel is a historic and picturesque spanish-style hotel right on the water, complete with it’s very own waterfall and it’s now one of my favorite wedding venues in the Gorge! Can’t wait to share the rest from this day!
