Petersen Family Update!

Hannah again, with more gorgeous family shoots 🙂 Allow me to reintroduce the Petersen Family, who you may remember from their 2009 family shoot in downtown Portland!

Isaiah, mom and dad had a fun shoot on the Park blocks of downtown Portland. These autumn leaves feature so heavily in our shoots for a reason – they’re beautiful, and they never last!

Look at that grin! Little kids are the coolest EVER.

M&T’s engagement shoot took them around the historic Amtrak station, and a little of the NW downtown waterfront. Had to incorporate a few classic Portland themes – vive le MAX!

Downtown Portland Wedding

Rhoni and Mike are an incredibly intelligent, beautiful and kind couple and I couldn’t be more happy for them both!

The rehearsal dinner at Oba! was colorful, and fun with great food and family.

The kids made a fort beneath the table to watch Sponge Bob!

The wedding day begins at The Heathman for getting ready pics of the ladies, and at the Arlington Club for the gentlemen.

Dresses and shoes and champagne- oh my! Rhoni’s shoes were hand made and stunning.

Rhoni is a beautiful bride!

On to Saint James for the emotional and joyful ceremony. Song and warm light filled the church.

The Arlington Club is a wonderful and historic club in downtown Portland. The luscious flowers were created by the talented Kim with Geranium Lakes.

Rhoni and Mike are perfect for each other in every way and I’m so happy to have documented their wedding day. The elegant and chic wedding took place on the evening of September 25th in downtown Portland. Everything from the flowers to the wine was sophisticated, but the party was fun, fun, fun! With the guests dancing all night and R&M as the gracious hosts, it was an unforgettable event! Thank you so much R&M and hope you love the blog preview!

The Old Church and Heathman Wedding

Ashley and Anil are an adorable and sweet couple who love books, architecture and each other!

Kimberly and Melanie with Your Perfect Bridesmaid were awesome and made sure the day ran smoothly and beautifully!

Ashley was a stunning bride! Makeup and Hair by Face Body Beauty.

The moment the bride walks down the aisle always makes me shiver with happiness and anticipation! The cello made this moment even more powerful!

A&A incorporated both Jewish and Indian customs into their ceremony to make it more meaningful to them and their families.

The Old Church is a lovely place to have a wedding ceremony.

The happy couple and the fun wedding party walked in the park blocks for some fun pics.

The Heathman Restaurant and Hotel has a wonderful location and look, perfect for a wedding!

I love the table naming of an author and a book for centerpieces. This was a combination of both A&A’s favorite books, which guests were able to read from and recite during dinner.

Shaun and Neil with Event Team Entertainment did a great job of keeping the dance floor packed and infused popular Indian music into the mix. So fun!

What a perfect day! A great couple, amazing weather, yummy food, touching toasts and fun music made for an unforgettable evening! The venues that Ashley and Anil chose went really well with their elegant Pacific Northwest Style as well as their fresh color palette of deep blues and reds. Autumn Special! Kids Portrait Day!

We are really excited to announce our first ever portrait session day in the park! On October 23rd, 2010, Jessica Hill Photography will be at Laurelhurst park in SE Portland. We have select 30 minute time slots available at a discounted price (normally $250!) for your children and family. We will have a few fun things for the kids, including pumpkins to pose next to and leaves for a great autumn themed session. You will be asked back to the studio in 2-3 weeks to review your 50 images from the session for a one-on-one viewing to pick the perfect prints for your home.

As with any offer, there’s a couple disclaimers:

We encourage you to get the entire family in a few shots, however we do limit to five people, and only immediate family please!
If you are late to your appointment, it will cut into your shoot time.
In the event of rain, another indoor location will be announced prior to the shoot day.

These pictures would make such an excellent photo for a holiday card, a gift for Grandma &
Grampa, or a nice addition to your wallet to show off your best joy 🙂

Rachel and Anthony are a beautiful couple with big hearts.

Portland in the house! This is one of my favorite pics, and it will mean a lot to the couple very soon, as R&A are moving to NYC soon!

The Portland rain didn’t stop Rachel and Anthony from having a blast and gallivanting around with Erica and I while we took fun photos!

The amazing Jordan with Blum Designs in Flowers created the stunning bouquets and boutonnieres using fresh hydrangeas.

This makes me cry happy tears. SO in love!

The roof top terrace at EcoTrust is a stunning place to say your I Do’s.

The venue is so very hip and urban with an elegant, yet eclectic feel.

Saint Cupcake created the lovely tower of treats, and the favors were environmentally friendly grocery bags for the guests.

It was a super fun party with awesome music, dancing and friends!

Rachel and Anthony are an intelligent and incredible couple who recently tied the knot on top of EcoTrusts roof in the heart of the Pearl District. The wedding party was a ton of fun and R&A could not have been happier! Rachel and Anthony met here in Portland while Anthony was in town for business, and now business is moving them to NYC for an awesome job opportunity. R&A – I wish you the best of life, happiness always and don’t forget to write! Portland will miss you! xoxo Hope you love the sneak peek!
