Raishelle and Riley met while they both worked together at Fred Meyer! (Or as most of us like to call it: Freddies!!) They were both in the electronics department and started having great conversations and realizing there was something magic there! When Raishelle and Riley and I talked about the possibility of shooting their engagements there, I was SO excited! Of course there are some challenges with a shopping store but I embraced them and love the results. We got permission of course and incorporated some of the awesome iconic Freddie’s magic into the session including that classic red sign, the crafts section, the outdoor garden center, and the electronics department! We finished the session with some beautiful images at Memorial Park in Wilsonville. Raishelle and Riley are kind, intelligent and a fun loving couple and I’m so excited to be photographing their wedding this summer in wine country!

Top Wedding Photographs of 2017
It’s now a long standing tradition here at Jessica Hill Photography to share my absolute favorite photos of the year. To make sure I don’t choose 7392, I limit it to the year, so 12 for 2012, 16 for 2016 and so on! Needless to say, one of the best things each year is getting to choose another image! Here are my top wedding and engagement images from 2017. WOW… It was so hard choosing from the thousands of unique, bold and magical moments from your engagement and wedding stories. I was so happy to have such kind-hearted and unique couples who have invited me to capture the start of their life adventure together. From Sunriver sunsets, to elegant urban venue’s in the Portland we call home, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Thank YOU all! Now booking select 2018 and 2019 dates and I’d love to learn more about your unique and personal day!

Portland Weddings & Engagements
What an incredible year! 2014 was filled with momentous weddings, kind and beautiful couples, whimsical memories and the best day of my life, my own wedding! From the top of Mt. Hood to the vineyards of wine country, this past year has been filled with some of my favorite couples and memories. I’ll be honest that I wasn’t the best at blogging this past year, so a few of these images might be new to you, and their full posts will be coming this winter! Thank you all so much for your continued support, kind referrals and friendship. Enjoy and I can’t wait to share what’s in store for JHP in 2015 with you soon! I absolutely love capturing the moments that make up your life. Happy 2015 and beyond!

A Portland Waterfront Engagement
Amy and Jeff and I met up along the waterfront on a gorgeous Friday afternoon at the same time that the iconic cherry blossoms were in bloom. It’s such a Portland landmark and it was one of the nicer days in a while so the waterfront was really busy and I was a bit worried that Amy and Jeff would feel a little awkward in front of the camera and a lot of people, but instead, they made magic happen. Their kindness, compassion and deep love came through in each image and I love the bursts of laughter mixed all in there! Amy and Jeff are truly a beautiful and perfect pair and I’m so excited to be documenting their wedding this June!

Ecotrust Rooftop Rehearsal Dinner
Christina and Ed’s Ecotrust rooftop rehearsal dinner was an unforgettable night of great toasts, delicious food by Simpatica, and the cutest kids! With lots of families and friends coming in from out of town, Christina and Ed decided on a fun Friday night rooftop rehearsal and welcome party before their Saturday wedding (coming soon!) I loved getting to know the families and friends and hear the hilarious toasts before the big day!
