Katie and Dan were making a big move to Texas after getting engaged, but wanted to commemorate their time together in Portland before leaving. We made sure to include all the most iconic Portland scenes including beautiful city views in SE Portland along the East Bank Esplanade and gorgeous forest scenery in Forest Park at Hoyt Arboretum. I’m very excited & honored to travel to Austin this weekend to photograph their wedding!
I met sweet and playful couple, Jennylyn and Daniel, at the magical Lan Su Chinese Gardens in Portland’s Chinatown. The gardens don’t allow professional photography within its walls but the outside made for quite the impressive scene! The simplicity of the wall’s architecture detailed with lively green plants really let the couple’s fun personalities shine.
Jennylyn and Daniel brought some hip jackets to switch up their looks and I’m confident we snapped some cool shots for their mixtape that may or may not drop! As the sun set lower into the sky we captured lots of laughs and playful poses at the SE waterfront. It was quite the adventure photographing sweet couple Lei Lei and Michael in SE Portland for their engagement. In true Pacific NW fashion, the weather took a slight turn and rained on our parade. Luckily we took cover beneath the bridge we moments before had been spending time on top of. Once the wet weather subsided, we headed down to the dock to capture some dusk photos. Lei Lei’s hair looked so beautiful in the wind as she and Michael laughed and played at the waterfront. They will be getting married this weekend! It was so lovely spending the afternoon with these two – even though we had a slight intermission!
When you meet a couple that have been together for over a decade, have travelled the world, laughed and danced together, you know it’s going to be a truly incredible wedding adventure. Liz & Richard and I met up at the cherry blossoms at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park and had a blast in the blooms. Although it was scheduled to rain, we lucked out and had a great time. We then headed to the Japanese Gardens and made magic. Richard and Liz have a deep love of Japan and have travelled there. It was fun learning about the different garden features, ikebana and sensory experiences. It was a truly an amazing few hours spent with these two and I’m beyond excited for their wedding in wine country this weekend!
Lisa and Aki are a kind, cute and giggly couple and we met up back in the late winter around some iconic Portland spots, including Tanner Springs Park in the Pearl District, Trailhead Coffee and the new and iconic Dumbbell building for their colorful and playful engagement session. I first met Lisa and Aki back in 2014 while Lisa was a bridesmaid at her sister Leslie’s awesome wedding! I’m so honored to be photographing their wedding this weekend and to celebrate with these two and their awesome families! 
Lucy and Tim have a beautiful energy together. Their fun and exuberant love is contagious! Their cute pup tagged along for our first location around their neighborhood in Multnomah Village and finished the shoot around the waterfront and on the Broadway Bridge around dusk with some incredible light. I’m so excited to be documenting their first steps together as husband and wife in September!
Amy and Jeff and I met up along the waterfront on a gorgeous Friday afternoon at the same time that the iconic cherry blossoms were in bloom. It’s such a Portland landmark and it was one of the nicer days in a while so the waterfront was really busy and I was a bit worried that Amy and Jeff would feel a little awkward in front of the camera and a lot of people, but instead, they made magic happen. Their kindness, compassion and deep love came through in each image and I love the bursts of laughter mixed all in there! Amy and Jeff are truly a beautiful and perfect pair and I’m so excited to be documenting their wedding this June!
Michelle and Garrett and I recently met up for a cherry blossom filled day at the SW Waterfront. The rain nearly got us, but our timing was perfect for the shoot! I am in love with the fist image of M&G, which shows the stunning trees, along with the super sweet couple kissing underneath. I’m looking forward to their wedding this May in Oregon City and downtown Portland. Thanks M&G and hope you love the preview! More soon!
