Molly & Dan
A Silcox Hut Wedding

Molly and Dan said “I do” 7,000 feet up in the air at Timberline Lodge’s Silcox Hut! It was a classic wedding with a down to earth yet elegant vibe. Silcox Hut is already a dazzling locale, but with the help of Wild Fern Florals, the space transformed into a woodland fantasy. Molly’s wore a whimsical & gorgeous dress by Watters and comfortable (and mountain friendly) champagne colored jellies. The greenery flowed from table to table during the reception symbolizing family togetherness and connection. It was a setting which reflected Molly and Dan’s love in a beautiful way, surrounded by their loved ones and plenty of laughs. The night went absolutely perfect thanks to Totem Weddings and Events. Highlights included a performance of the Irish jig from Molly’s sisters, adorable details like personalized s’mores party favors for the guests, a reminder of the night Dan proposed to Molly over s’mores in NYC. The couple decided to have their first look as Molly walked down the aisle. It was a much-anticipated moment and made all the more touching by Dan’s reaction upon seeing Molly. “Dan and I are both pretty traditional, and were insistent that we wanted to wait until this moment to see each other that day, instead of doing a first look. Nothing will beat the memory of seeing Danny’s smile as I walked down the aisle to meet him. My brother Mike walked me down the aisle, which was also really special to me after losing my dad. When I asked my husband what his most anticipated moment of the day was, he replied “’the kiss, of course!’” Congratulations on one incredible year together, Molly and Dan! Here’s to many more!

Caroline & Scott
A Coopers Hall Wedding

Scott and Caroline planned an elegant, fun and colorful Coopers Hall Urban Winery wedding, which is one of my very favorite spots in Portland. From the hip industrial architecture and plants adorning the space to incredible food, wine and staff, this place is really quite amazing! I loved Caroline and Scott’s kind quiet love and we had a blast getting to know each other better at their Rhododendron garden engagements. Their wedding started with getting ready pics at the iconic Hotel Eastlund and we stopped along the way to the venue for fun and creative photos. Loved loved love Caroline’s bridal style with her tea-length dress from House of Mooshki Bridal and Jimmy Choos. The very fun & colorful florals were from Here Comes the Bloom. Epic entertainment from John Ross Music. Here’s what Caroline had to say about her wedding vision: “I really looked forward to walking down the stairs of Coopers Hall and down the aisle with my father to the song “Sweet Caroline”. The song was a surprise to our guests, but they all enjoyed joining in the chorus! Our first dance was also a wonderful moment, accompanied by John Ross playing acoustic guitar. It was nice to enjoy the moment together, and we both were excited that all the formal parts were over, and we could dance the rest of the night away with all of our guests! We also loved taking pictures with Jessica all around downtown Portland. Having complete strangers congratulate us and enjoy the day with us is something we won’t forget. Her wonderful advice for other couples planning their big day: Choose the things that are important to you, and let everything else go. Otherwise you’ll get stuck in the spiral that is wedding planning, and lose sight of the fact that the act of getting married is the only thing that really matters that day.”  HECK YES! Thank you Caroline and Scott and happy one year anniversary! Also- this wedding was just featured over on Boho Weddings, a very cool European planning blog!

Liz and Richard
An Old Schoolhouse Wedding

Liz and Richard’s wedding was a poetic and philosophical day filled with music, poetry and a deep love at a gorgeous vintage old school house in Oregon’s wine country. As soon as I met Richard and Liz, we became fast friends and it felt like we had known each other for years. They have that way about them- that easy going kindness. They now live in Japan as Richard is an internationally known beer brewer and Liz has her own therapy practice. (Yes- they are that cool – Just check out their Japanese Garden Engagements!) Considering Richard’s philosophy professor ordained the wedding, the depth and meaning of their 10+ year love was characterized beautifully in their ceremony and with their vows. The bride wore her grandmothers 1940’s Juliet cap veil and she had a sweet moment with her grandpa remembering her grandma’s life and I was honored to capture it. The team at CK Events were the great team behind the magic of the day. The gorgeous heirloom florals were created by Foraged Blooms, with timeless hair and makeup by Kirstie Wight Makeup team. Honoring Richard’s French heritage, the couple opted for the Croquembouche wedding cake from St. Honore. The entire day was a relaxed and surreal. Happiest one year anniversary to this sacred couple!

Patience & Egan
A Mt. Tabor Park and Waterfront Engagement

As soon as I met Patience and Egan we immediately clicked and ended up talking for hours about their world travels (Japan & Greece!) and where to find the best sushi in Portland! (Ichidai and Bamboo!) Egan fell for Patience when they met one another while at summer camp! These two are such a kind, beautiful, and empathetic couple who I had the pleasure of photographing their engagements at Mt. Tabor, a popular urban park in SE Portland known for its views and water reservoirs. With the Portland city skyline as our backdrop, we made our way to a few beautiful locations around this gorgeous urban park along with their cutie pie pup Corgie, Kevin. We headed to the waterfront for some iconic sunset photos with Portland in the distance. I’m honored to have captured the love between Patience and Egan as the sun peaked through the trees amidst mesmerizing sunset reflections on the river. I loved connecting with these two and Patience’s makeup and hair by Olivia Hawthorne. They are getting married this June at the Sentinel in downtown Portland and I just know that their day will be filled with so much love. Thank you Patience and Egan for allowing me to be a part of your story.

Jackie and Jordan
A Portland Rooftop Engagement

I had the best time photographing gorgeous couple Jackie and Jordan alongside their cute pup, Buddy! We captured stunning photos amidst the classic Portland sign and downtown along the Park Blocks. I love when the Portland Art Museum has epic displays that make for interesting and artistic backdrops. We then enjoyed some VIP access to gorgeous sun kissed rooms and an incredible rooftops inside a Portland high-rise. This was quite epic as I totally love photographing on rooftops and this rooftop was non-accessible to the public, so it made the experience quite incredible. Enjoying each other’s company high above the city as the sun set below Portland, Jackie and Jordan danced and laughed together as they toasted to a bright future. Wishing these two all the love and happiness and I’m so excited to be documenting their destination wedding in Napa coming this May. Jackie and Jordan- Thank you for choosing me to capture the undeniable love you two share!

Vi & Alex
An Oregon Golf Club Sri Lankan Wedding

Vi and Alex are not only a stunning couple, but also kind, super laid back and hella cool. We had a blast getting to know each other during their downtown rooftop engagement session and their September wedding took place at the elegant Oregon Golf Club in West Linn, Oregon. Their wedding was so full of color, light, joy and tradition and I had a blast photographing their remarkable day. Coordination by the always talented Bridal Bliss team with stunning florals by Bella Bloom and hair and makeup from Olivia Hawthorne. Dance party was insane with DJ Zimmie along with an equally insane wedding cake created by Dream Cakes along w/ killer party food with 1927 S’mores. I loved the beautiful Sri Lankan lamp lighting ceremony where the bride and groom and their families took turns lighting an oil lamp to signify the two families becoming one family. This was truly a wedding that  I’ll never forget filled with bold colors, laughter, dancing and SO MUCH LOVE and you can see it in print now in the most recent Real Weddings issue of Oregon Bride Magazine.

Paige and Tom
An Eastside Exchange Ballroom and Rooftop Wedding

I met Paige and Tom last winter around a campfire in Sunriver, Oregon at Kellen and Ty’s gorgeous wedding  and instantly knew they were lots of fun! Paige and Tom are a witty and stylish couple who met overseas and continued a relationship over years, oceans and many phone calls and decided on a simple yet elegant wedding this past spring at the stunning Exchange Ballroom. The couple had a intimate and private ceremony with only a few friends earlier that day at the courthouse. I love that they decided on a non-traditional approach to their wedding and hosted their family and friends for a wonderful dinner party and rooftop fun to celebrate their marriage! Their raw bar was one of the best I’ve seen (yes please!) and Vibrant Table really delivers on the delicious and beautiful food! Sammy’s Floral created the pretty flowers and Paige’s sweet slip dress was from Nordstrom. They included a ton of fun games including vintage arcade, darts and pool for guests to enjoy as well as a gorgeous sitting area for mingling. Needless to say, this couple brought lots of thought and love to their fun and beautiful wedding reception to the Eastside Exchange and I had a blast photographing it!
