How fun and awesome is this pic…partly because of the No Parking detail, mostly because of Kaley’s awesome hair!

We found this great truck in a nearby parking lot, but much to our surprise their was a killer dog in the front seat. (well, maybe not killer, but really scary!)

I’m in love with the motion involved with this series.

Kaley and Brent along with Liam and I met up recently for a creative and fun engagement shoot in the Pearl District and China Town in NW Portland. Kaley and Brent are a really fun and intelligent couple who are getting married in August at the lovely Waverly Country Club. I’m really looking forward to documenting their first steps together as husband and wife. Hope you love the sneak peek K&B!

WCWP Wedding Event at Vista Hills

Vista Hill Vineyard is an incredible venue with a breathtaking view.

Premiere Catering provided the delicious and beautiful food.

The amazing Becky Simpson with No Ordinary Affair coordinated the event and runs the Wine Country Wedding Professional group. She and Kat did a great job making the event a success.

The talented Francoise Weeks created all the flowers on display. She creates unique and interesting bouquets with succulents and even fruit and vegetables. The middle bouquet is in an eggplant!

Waterlily invitations created all the darling menu cards.

The Wine Country Wedding Professionals networking group is a fabulous group of creative and talented vendors who all work in the gorgeous Oregon wine country. 2nd Annual Client Appreciation Party at The Heathman!

The second annual client appreciation party was a huge success thanks to incredible clients and amazing vendor friends!

Champagne Events coordinated the event and created a mock table to display their design talent! So luscious and elegant! Love this team and recommend them for your event!

The lovely ladies at Punch Floral Design crafted the fun floral arrangements!

West Coast Event Productions was the mastermind behind the teal linens and classic Chavari chairs! Love them!

A few of my favorite women in the industry! The Champagne team and Jennifer Walker with Face Body Beauty– Who made me look and feel beautiful with her makeup and hair talent!

Yeah for awesome clients! You may remember this cutie from his baby session in the studio!

The ladies at Divine Designs are incredible!

The Heathman Hotel created the perfect atmosphere and a stunning food display that was delish!

Amber of Le Cookie Monkey provided mini cupcakes and cookies and her baked goods are seriously addictive they are soooo good!

I heart my clients! Maria won the bottle of wine that the talented Jeffrey of Lights in the Attic put into the raffle. We have a special video coming your way next week, so stay tuned!

The dashing team at Royal Steamline created the vintage-inspired invites and quite simply, they are an incredible duo that transform your invite into a custom art piece. Check out the invite here.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you to all the wonderful clients and rockin’ vendors who made the 2nd annual Jessica Hill Photography client appreciation party a huge success! I love having all my clients (aka friends!) in one place to get to know each other outside of the typical “What time does your ceremony start?” vocab. Tora & David – Abernathy Center Wedding

Tora and David are a magical and inspiring couple that brought tons of creativity and DIY to their May 1st wedding.

Pretty much my favorite ring shot ever. T&D had a “heaven and earth” theme and was inspired by that for their colors and details.

These fun folks put the “party” in wedding party! Armed with umbrellas and favorite Marvel comic weaponry.

In lieu of the traditional boutineers the guys (and one groomswoman:) wore Star Trek communicators and the ladies held vintage umbrellas rather than bouquets. Totally rad.

Incredibly beautiful and fun ceremony under the trees at the Abernathy Center’s Veiled Garden.

Tora made all the flags for guests to wave using iron-on transfers. These made me smile.

Complete with a rocking cake incorporating the theme, an Italian soda bar, custom made invites and programs and collections of vintage vases gathered on each table, the reception was hella cool all around!

and oh yes, they busted out the Time Warp and some air guitar… yeow!

Tora and David are rad. They had their morning wedding in Oregon City at The Abernathy Center in the Veiled Garden with a lunch reception in the ball room. T&D had a lot of DIY, little bit of indie, a dash of Sci-Fi, and pinch of comic book inspiration to create a stylish and smart wedding with a ton of flavor. Special thanks to Maalaea of I and M Photography for second shooting with me! Tora is the creative force behind Tora Illustration, her amazing illustration company. Rachel and Anthony are an awesome couple who are planning a Friday night wedding on the Eco-Trust rooftop. We had a great time during their engagements with all the colors and textures in the Pearl District. The couple has a modern and clean style, so we incorporated a lot of incredible architecture. Jill & Matt’s Album

Jill and Matt’s incredible 10*10″ wedding album just came in this week and I was so excited when I opened, I just had to take some quick pics with my point and shoot! The cover is a soft brown leather and the page spreads are breathtaking! Enjoy J&M!

Britt & David
Portland Engagement Photos

David proposed to Britt with 1000 paper cranes that he folded. The tradition comes from an ancient Japanese legend, which grants the receiver of the cranes with 1000 years of happiness and prosperity.

Love these vintage-inspired images in a cool phone booth. These things are practically vintage!

David brought his bow and arrow and we set up some imaginative theme photos. I love love love this image!

Britt is in medical school and is almost Dr. Brittany! Her wonderful parents bought her this medical bag to keep her supplies in.

Their dog, Tycho, was in tow and was the sweetest thing ever! How cute is it that they all match!

Britt and David are tying the knot in September of this year at the incredible Lac de Fleur gardens. We recently met up in SE Portland for their unique engagement photo session, which was inspired by all things B&D! They brought their favorite things that meant the most to them, including David’s bow and arrow, Britt’s medical bag, and of course, their awesome dog, Tycho! Britt and David are a creative and intelligent couple and I can’t wait for their wedding! Hope you love the sneak peek B&D!

Zoe is an impressive Mastiff, who’s actually the runt! Her mom is 98 lbs! She’s a cutiepie!

Jaimee and Steve are a really fun couple with awesome energy and spirit. Jaimee and Steve really love nature and are inspired by the Oregon rivers, forests and trees and I love that! Travis Shields, of Shields Films fame, and I recently met up with the cute couple in Laurelhurst Park in SE Portland with their wonderful dog, Zoe.
