Molly & Scott
A Cooper Mountain Park Engagement

Molly, Scott and their sweet son Ethan and I all met up for their engagements back in late February and it was happen to be a gorgeous day! We all met for the photos at the beautiful Cooper Mountain Nature Park in Beaverton, Oregon and I was so beyond inspired by this hidden gem of a city park! They had relatives watch their cutie-pie son so we could get some magical couple photos around sunset. Excited for their outdoor vineyard wedding this September!

Anna & Travis
A Mountain View Orchard Wedding

Anna and Travis said their vows one year ago at the beautiful Mt. View Orchard in Hood River, Oregon wedding. Beautiful rows of apple trees and the silhouette of Mt. Hood made for a gorgeous location for a simple yet elegant wedding in the orchard, near Hood River, Oregon. It was the perfect backdrop for a day filled to the brim with excitement and oh so much love!  After photographing their snowy vintage-inspired engagement at Timberline Lodge, I knew it would be a thoughtful, casual and beautiful event. Anna stunned guests and Travis alike in her BHLDN gown. Her rustic bouquet and the florals were created by Travis’s mom, a florist in Napa. The wild flowers really added to the rustic location and I loved the mis-matched bridesmaids dresses. The ceremony followed with an amazing fresh meal from a Hood River local food taco truck, (yum!) plenty to cheers, and a flash hail storm!!! What happens when a hail-storm hits your outdoor wedding? You dance all night to the incredible beats of DJ Jimbo of course!  (Did someone say conga?) What a wedding! Many happy memories, Anna and Travis.

Lei Lei & Michael
A Traditional Chinese Wedding

Lei Lei and Michael are celebrating their first year as a married couple and their wedding is one I love looking back on! It was a celebration steeped in beautiful tradition, rich color and delicious food! Before their Western marriage at the Portland Community Church, Lei Lei and Michael hosted a traditional Chinese tea ceremony with family and friends. Throughout the day, the event sported bursts of bright red symbolizing good fortune, joy, and happiness. During the ceremony Lei Lei wore an elegant gown from Charlotte’s Weddings and looked stunning. After the ceremony the large celebration was hosted at HK Cafe complete with lobster, shrimp and delicious cupcakes! The celebration continued into the night with games, speeches, and singing! Michael sang a song to Lei Lei and it was incredible! It was a magnificent night and one that no one will soon forget. Congratulations Lei Lei and Michael.

Amy & James
A Sanibel Island Engagement

Amy and James originally planned a big rooftop wedding in Portland but yet again Covid changed their plans but, in this case- for the better! They are getting married on their original date in a 30 person wedding at Amy’s dad’s hazelnut farm in wine country complete with vows and dinner and then throwing the big bash in late July 2021 when it’s safe to do so… So I say two weddings is always better than one!!! 🙂 Amy’s originally from Portland but now the couple reside in the Fort Meyers area of Florida. When a pandemic hits and you can’t personally photograph a Sanibel Island Florida engagement session you’ve had booked for over a year; your photo community comes through for you! Thank you so much Emily Parish Photography for doing such a great job photographing Amy & James for me when I couldn’t be there myself?. These are the stunning photos that Emily captured for me during their Sanibel Island Florida engagement session. She nailed this session and I’m excited to personally photography their intimate August wedding in Oregon’s wine country!

Sheila & Michael
A Gorge Crest Vineyard Wedding

Wildflowers, deep green forests, sprawling vineyards, and views of Mount Hood? Yes please! Sheila and Michael’s wedding at Gorge Crest Vineyard really had it all, but these two only had eyes for each other. Sheila was absolutely stunning in her vintage-inspired gown and her bouquet by Blum Floral, which perfectly complimented the couple’s elegant style. Thanks to coordination from the amazing Katy with Bridal Bliss, the day ran smoothly, from Sheila and Michael’s first look to their first steps as husband and wife. Guests enjoyed vibrant and delicious food from White Pepper and lawn games (gotta love giant Jenga!) Loved the personal details, including photos of the couple at each age corresponding to the table number.  After the ceremony, the couple stole away for a little dance among the rows of vines and shared a quiet moment together to take it all in. Absolutely adored this relaxed yet elegant wedding in the mountains! Happy one year to this kind and wonderful couple!

Elizabeth & Tim
Bingham Estate Wedding

Wow! Elizabeth and Tim’s gorgeous wedding had all the feels (crazy laughter but mostly sweet tears) at Bingham Estate exactly a year ago! After first meeting Elizabeth and Tim during their very epic Crater Lake engagement session– I knew their wedding would be a love fest! Their wedding was like stepping onto the pages of a folktale…. only this Snow White leaned in and traded in her little cottage for a rustic estate and a gorgeous gown from Anna’s Bridal. With red brick archways overgrown in vines and wrought iron balconies, the fantastical Bingham Estate was the perfect setting for Tim and Elizabeth to declare their love among their best friends and family. Florals by Blum perfectly complimented the gorgeous grounds and old-time classic garden feel. Thanks to Nora and the Bridal Bliss team the ceremony was perfectly planned and there wasn’t a dry eye in the audience when Tim first set eyes on Elizabeth. After the ceremony Elizabeth and Tim and guests mingled on the lawn and had music by Event Team Entertainment. Then introduced into the first dance to “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole and guests enjoyed a delicious three course meal courtesy of White Pepper with a stunning cake and dessert from JaCiva’s. The remainder of the night was a whirl of dancing beneath the stars in celebration of Elizabeth and Tim’s sweet love. Many magical moments to come, Elizabeth and Tim!

Ellie & Nick
A Sunset Cove B&B Michigan Wedding

Ellie and I met while attending the School of Art at the University of Michigan during a “Art of the Nudes” summer class taught by the famous New York photographer Ernestine Ruben. It was a crazy amazing class where we photographed nude models in the woods around Ann Arbor (which later inspired me to start my boudoir brand Peekaboo Portland!) Needless to say Ellie and I hit it off right away that experience connected us ever since. We later worked together for years at both Cafe Zola and The Earle Restaurant (heyyy Earle crew!) in downtown Ann Arbor and even had a joint art show at a well known underground gallery bar together. I’m so lucky to know Ellie, (now an incredible pastry chef & baker) and I am so glad she found a fellow artist & soulmate in Nick. Nick is a musician in an amazing band called the Little Traps. He’s hilarious and they make a crazy magical couple. I am still smitten over their lakeside Michigan wedding one year ago today. The ceremony took place at Sunset Cove Bed & Breakfast, a stunner of a log cabin tucked between two lakes with sprawling views. Ellie wore a White by Vera Wang satin gown and couldn’t have looked more elegant and dazzling while walking down the aisle. She’s always been a total babe, but her bridal style was just perfect. (umm her nails though?) As you can probably guess from the photo, this was the moment Nick first saw Ellie and he was absolutely floored. #bestgroomreactionever The ceremony was coordinated by the talented Vows and Veils Wedding Crew and filled with special details like custom flasks for the groomsmen and hand-tied wildflower bouquets. After the ceremony, guests busted out on the dance floor to rock ‘n roll ballads, while enjoying food from Eat and a glorious custom Sweet Heather Anne black wedding cake with hand-applied sugar sequins. Wow! Rather than the traditional mother/son and father/daughter dances the couple chose to dance with their entire immediate families and there wasn’t a dry eye in the place. (including my own! Also- can this be the new tradition forever? ) Cheers to Ellie and Nick, may the years to come be filled with endless happiness, creative genius and magic love. Love you guys!

Molly & Dan
A Silcox Hut Wedding

Molly and Dan said “I do” 7,000 feet up in the air at Timberline Lodge’s Silcox Hut! It was a classic wedding with a down to earth yet elegant vibe. Silcox Hut is already a dazzling locale, but with the help of Wild Fern Florals, the space transformed into a woodland fantasy. Molly’s wore a whimsical & gorgeous dress by Watters and comfortable (and mountain friendly) champagne colored jellies. The greenery flowed from table to table during the reception symbolizing family togetherness and connection. It was a setting which reflected Molly and Dan’s love in a beautiful way, surrounded by their loved ones and plenty of laughs. The night went absolutely perfect thanks to Totem Weddings and Events. Highlights included a performance of the Irish jig from Molly’s sisters, adorable details like personalized s’mores party favors for the guests, a reminder of the night Dan proposed to Molly over s’mores in NYC. The couple decided to have their first look as Molly walked down the aisle. It was a much-anticipated moment and made all the more touching by Dan’s reaction upon seeing Molly. “Dan and I are both pretty traditional, and were insistent that we wanted to wait until this moment to see each other that day, instead of doing a first look. Nothing will beat the memory of seeing Danny’s smile as I walked down the aisle to meet him. My brother Mike walked me down the aisle, which was also really special to me after losing my dad. When I asked my husband what his most anticipated moment of the day was, he replied “’the kiss, of course!’” Congratulations on one incredible year together, Molly and Dan! Here’s to many more!
