Sophie & Denis
A Downtown Portland Courthouse Wedding

Timeless, stylish, intimate and elegant are a few of the words I would use to describe this darling wedding with Sophie and Denis. Their Covid-safe Portland courthouse ceremony was exactly what the two wanted, intimate and special, with just the judge and Sophie’s mom and Denis’s sweet three-legged German Shepard in attendance. The couple prepared in their rooms at the Benson Hotel before making it official at the downtown Portland courthouse. Afterwards, with their close family, they celebrated with a sweet champagne toast and a delicious Pavlova from Papa Hayden back at the Benson. Even the smallest weddings have huge emotion and photo opportunities. Loved the confetti poppers they brought to celebrate the post-ceremony couple.

A Seattle Engagement Session

Oh how I love Seattle! I met Catherine and Miles along the Puget Sound for a gorgeous and iconic Seattle waterfront engagement session. Catherine and Miles live in Seattle but are having a destination wedding in Portland, as Catherine is originally from here. The best of both worlds in my opinion! We snuck away from the crowds to find some quiet and intimate photo locations while also capturing those classic shots of Pike’s Place, the Gum Wall and the Seattle waterfront. I just love this easy-going and sweet couple and I can’t believe their wedding is almost here! What a way to “ring” in the new year!

Sauvie Island Engagement Photography

AnnaMaria and John met me out on their family estate on Sauvie Island to celebrate their engagement! These two cuties met in high school and are so sweet together. I’ve also had the honor of photographing the weddings of AnnaMaria’s siblings. First her sister Jenna and then her brother Alfonso. I love feeling like part of the family at this point! During their engagement session we ventured around the farm before ending the photo shoot along the Columbia River for some fun pics in the water. I can’t wait for their wedding this weekend at the Portland Golf Club.

An Iconic Portland Engagement

Katie and Dan were making a big move to Texas after getting engaged, but wanted to commemorate their time together in Portland before leaving. We made sure to include all the most iconic Portland scenes including beautiful city views in SE Portland along the East Bank Esplanade and gorgeous forest scenery in Forest Park at Hoyt Arboretum. I’m very excited & honored to travel to Austin this weekend to photograph their wedding!

An Oregon Farm Engagement

Sarah & Cole met in high-school and their families have farms in the same town! They fell in love over their shared interest in country life and family. I had the pleasure of photographing their engagements at each of their family farms surrounded by hazelnuts and cattle and it was such a unique and great session! I especially loved when Sara climbed the silo at her family farm and when the couple sat together in the loft of Cole’s historic barn on his family’s farm in St. Paul, Oregon. Their pup joined along and of course, we had to photograph them with some of their beautiful cows. At the end of the night it became a bit cloudy which made for amazing light and epic sunset and ! I can’t wait for their wedding in just a few days!

Portland Waterfront Engagement

Laura and Gary are a fun and laid-back couple who wanted their engagements to showcase all the beauty of fall in Portland. We met on the East Side Esplanade for sweeping views of the city and stunning architectural photos on the Tilikum Bridge. Their wedding is just around the corner and will be hosted at The Evergreen among close friends and family.

Downtown Portland Engagement

Dominique and Kevin are a travel-loving couple from Chicago who have been all over the world together. Now they’re both looking to make a home together… which starts with getting married! For their engagements, we walked along the riverside in Portland for some stunning photos filled with some of Portland’s most iconic bridges and skyscrapers. The couple are getting married at an intimate ceremony here in Portland and I can’t wait for their big day!

Columbia River Gorge Engagement

Overlooking the Columbia River Gorge on a little island named Government Cove, Hannah and Sam danced among the lupine and golden grasses for their sunset engagement photoshoot. This location is fast becoming one of my go-to spots near Hood River because of it’s picturesque and diverse views. One of my favorite moments came when Sam slipped his hand into Hannah’s back pocket, a sweet and loving gesture that was completely unprompted. It’s the little moments like this that make my heart sing! We photographed their engagements a year ago and now their wedding day is just a few days away. Hannah and Sam are such a sweet and loving couple and their wedding is one I’ve been anticipating for a long time!

A Vancouver Engagement

Trish and Josh are the sweetest couple and so well matched. Our sunset engagement session along the Vancouver waterfront was the perfect start to the wedding countdown. We revisited where Trish and Josh met each other in this exact spot for their very first date. A few hours turned into a whole day of talking, biking, and sipping margaritas at Who Song and Larry’s with a riverfront view, which then carried into the week, the month and the years! This golden hour engagement made my heart soar and I just know that their wedding this weekend will be beyond amazing.
