Skamania Lodge Wedding

Megan and Ryan’s spectacular wedding took place on August 2nd at Skamania Lodge.
Overlooking the George, Skamania has a poetic mountain landscape on the Columbia River. Ryan and Megan and their amazing cutie-pie daughter Reece, celebrated in style with vows said in the cool summer breeze, delicious food and gorgeous flowers by Geranium Lakes. Megan’s stunning hair and makeup by the fabulous Jennifer Walker of Face Body Beauty. Erica and I had a blast capturing
all the artistic and photojournalistic moments. The wedding was beautiful, emotional, fun
and very modern with a great color palette of greens, purples and ivory! Thank you so much Megan, Ryan and Reece for choosing

Kate Davis Holiday Album

As many of you may already know, I’m a HUGE Kate Davis fan! While Travis and I were celebrating my birthday at Wilf’s Restaurant almost two years ago we just happen to witness her poise, stand-up bass skill and incredible voice that night! We were in love 🙂 She was only 16 then and a Jr. in college and now she’s in NYC and a freshman at the Manhatann School of Music! yeah! The afternoon of her last Wilf’s performance we met up for the shoot at Union Station for that subtle vintage-y feel. We were going for a hip holiday look, with nothing too campy or Christmas-y. I love the way the pics look and Kate’s cool green dress adds the perfect holiday touch. I can’t wait to hear the new album due around Thanksgiving! Please check out her awesome new website and listen to her music 🙂 Her rendition of My Funny Valentine always gives me goosebumps! She’s a talent that will take over the world soon. Laurelhurst Park Wedding

Kathy and Johhny’s remarkable wedding took place on July 25th all over Portland! The traditional tea ceremony was filled with great emotion and bright colors and the asking of permission to receive the bride was an amazing experience to document. Kathy had three beautiful outfits, and yes she had three fun pairs of shoes to go with them. (Yeah- I love shoes!!!) Her first dress is called Áo dài and it’s worn during the tea ceremony and for part of the reception. She also wore a stunning classic gown, and a rocking Betsey Johnson cocktail dress for the dancing. The ceremony took place at the SE Asian Vicariate church, which was very cool and sweet. We all went to Laurelhurst park immedialty following for some fun wedding party and couples pics, and then onto dinner. The food at Legin was yummy and so was the decor! The colors were green and white, which they weaved throughout the room with white orchids and green linens. The music was really fun and so was the crowd! Everyone was lauging and smiling and having a great time grooving to the beat. I’m so honored that Kathy and Johnny choose me to document their first steps together as husband and wife! Jillian & Nick
Timberline Lodge Wedding

On July 18th Jillian and Nick were married at the beautiful Timberline Lodge. The day was perfect and so are J&N for each other! We were able to get
some fun wedding party and romantic couple photos at the base of Mt. Hood. I really enjoyed photographing among the wildflowers and crisp air of the mountains, and thought it was especially cool that Jillian’s gorgeous bouquet was designed to match the wildflowers among us! The ceremony was extremely touching and a bit funny when Jillian accidentally put Nick’s ring on the right hand, and exclaimed “Do Over” and the wedding went on with big smiles! Thanks for the help, Leah, my awesome assistant and the newest addition the the Jessica Hill Photography team!

Engaged: Libby & Kenneth

Libby and Kenneth are a super cool couple who are getting married August 29th at the beautiful View Point Inn. We recenlty met up for a very urban and hip engagement shoot. I love photographing on the streets of Portland, because there is always something weird and different. We found this super funky car in the Pearl district, and I love the solar flair, which adds to the colors! We also ran into a tall cowboy on the waterfront, which adds an element of mystery to the pics! Barbados Trash the Dress!

The day-after shoot for Crystal and Patrick was nothing short of
astonishing. The weather was perfect and Crystal and Patrick were up
for adventure! We first traveled to an abandoned church with incredible
arch windows and cool graffiti, then we climbed onto the cliffs at
Crane Beach for some spectacular Caribbean waves. Although we all got a
little wet, it was worth it for these pics! I’m experimenting here with
some new post-processing and I think it really adds to this style and
the tropical colors in this set. Enjoy and please let me know your thoughts!

Crystal & Patrick
Destination Wedding

Crystal and Patrick’s awe-inspiring wedding took place on the stunning
and world renowned beaches of Barbados! Travis and I were blessed to be
flown to Barbados, which is located in the West Indies,
to document their incredible day. The ceremony took place on Bottoms
Bay Beach which is a small, quiet area of Barbados. The local family
pictured was hanging out near the party, and I love how happy they are
as they watched the couple say their I Do’s! The amazing dinner
reception took place at The Crane Resort,
located on the Crane Beach, which was named one of the top ten beaches
in the world by Lifestyles of The Rich and Famous. Yes- the Caribbean Sea is really that color! A destination
wedding was the perfect way for Crystal and Patrick to have an
intimate, adventurous wedding with their closest family and friends.
They traveled to Rome for their honeymoon, as the bride and groom love
to travel. Hope you had a fabulous time on your honeymoon and you both

Baby

Baby Jackson!

Chan and Dale are a beautiful couple, who’s fantastic wedding I had the honor of photographing last September at the Oregon Golf Club. I was so happy to hear that they were expecting a baby boy! Baby Jackson was born on July 15th and is the cutest thing ever! He’s pictured here at only 8 days old. While we were photographing he was wide awake and facinated with his surroundings, especially the camera! We finally got him to snooze while some quiet portraits were taken. Dale and Chan own a stunning home in the Hills and we were lucky enough to get some great outdoor photos of the amazing Oak tree outside their home that baby Jackson will someday have a tree house in! Engagement

Engaged: Tora & David!

Tora and David and I met recently in Foothills Park in Lake Oswego. This park is stunning and filled with cool features on the waterfront which made for a great backdrop for their fun pics! Little did we know, however that the “concerts in the park” was going on, so we had to dodge the 100’s of people and the bad cover music. 🙂 Made for a great laugh though! My sister, Lauren, has also been assisting me on photoshoots and got some great photos as well! Thanks to Tora and David for the inspring location and shoot! Hope you both love the sneak peek.
